They make you wait for hours to answer their phone just so they can hang up on you when you giving out your information!!!!! Disgusting if you ask me

Id give AHCCCS zero stars if it were an option. In my experience, calling AHCCCS is made very hard. The numbers provided are for DES and another place (cant recall off hand, something like Healthy AZ families or something). Once you actually get to AHCCCS, they say its a problem they cant fix and pawn you off to DES.
The representatives with DES are always helpful and try their best to help, but they pawn you off to AHCCCS, which goes nowhere.
Being a type one diabetic, I desperately needed my medical renewed and everyone with DES told me I had coverage, but AHCCCS told me something different and that I had papers i needed to submit, but there was nothing for me to see on the website where you renew. The whole process of renewing was a Freddy Kruger size nightmare and I hope nobody else has difficulties in renewing. Needless to say, my problem was never solved - and I will be paying out of pocket for my diabetic supplies. Without them, I will die, which I mentioned numerous times to both DES and AHCCCS, but sadly, they didnt seem to care enough to actually solve my problems. If you can get health care thru your employer, Id go that route instead, which I plan on doing once I am able to do so.
