I found out I was pregnant in March of 2021 and began going to MomDocs in Gilbert. There were some very kind providers who worked there and overall it was a good experience, but I knew I wanted something more. After speaking with my husband about it we decided we would look into doing a home birth with one midwife. I had a mutual friend who had used Che in the past and said it was a wonderful experience so we booked an appointment to meet with her. When my husband and I walked out of the meeting both of use were in love. From the moment we met Che she made use feel like she had known us our whole lives and more importantly, like she had known our baby before he even entered into the world. We both immediately decided to switch over care to her and begin the journey of a home birth. I cannot express how above and beyond Che goes in every single thing that she does as your midwife. As a new mom who had never been pregnant before, I had a million and one questions and Che was always there to not only answer my questions, but also send me a ton of resources so that I could do my own research and feel confident in the choices I was making. There were times where I messaged Che at 2 or 3 am with a question like "im peeing alot, is that okay?" and even though she was most likely going on no sleep because all she does is work, my question seemed like the most important thing to her in that moment. I felt 100 times more confident in every decision that we had to make as new parents because of Che. She has this ability to make you feel so empowered as a woman and a new mom and it is unlike anything I could have even imagined. Living in a world where almost every message sent to us as women about birth is that "it will be extremely painful" and "your body will never be the same" can be extremely discouraging. That was never the message that was sent to me from Che because she does not believe those things. When I began laboring I entered into it feeling like a woman warrior and a massive reason for that is because I had a midwife who was constantly reassuring me that my body was created to do this and I am stronger then I could ever know.
I will try to finish this up, but to summarize, you will be doing yourself and your baby a disservice if you do not choose Che as your midwife. Having a baby is a huge journey as new parents, and being able to take it with Che by our side made a world of difference. She is the most kind, gentle and loving soul I think I have ever had the joy of knowing and we will absolutely be coming back for the rest of our pregnancies.

Che is an incredible woman to say the least. She was one of our midwives during pregnancy and acted as a doula during our homebirth. During labor, she brought the most powerful yet calming energy that helped me stay in the moment and surrender to the intensity. The trust she built with us helped us let go of any fears that came up during the whole process from early pregnancy even until today. We cannot thank her enough for playing such a special role in our journey to becoming parents.

I had the best labor experience and that was in large part due to Che. She exuded patience during my long labor, never letting on that she was tired too. She was a solace, knowing exactly when to soothe with warm and positive energy. Her shirt that day “you are strong enough†was a consistent reminder that I had strength, and if not, she’d lend me some of hers. She made my labor! What a beautiful delivery, thanks to Che 😘
