I met Mark in an elevator in the city of Phoenix. As he walked in to the elevator he caught my attention. I thought to myself, “wow this man has style.” There was something very chic about his simple, all black attire. I knew he was not from Arizona. Sure enough after we made small talk, he told me he was a photographer from New York! We exchanged business information and a few months later I contacted him for portraits. My photos came out beautiful and very elegant. Mark was very nice and patient. He made me feel comfortable in front of the camera. If you are looking for high quality work, call Mark. He is great!

Mark is a one of a kind photographer - almost literally. As soon as I found out he still shoots film I was intrigued, but after working with him for my wedding on 9/14 I have nothing but wonderful things to say about him and his work. The film style gives every photo it's own unique vibe that could not be captured with a digital camera. Even though it ended up pouring rain on our outdoor wedding and things were chaotic for a bit Mark was able to quickly adapt and capture unique shots in the midst of the craziness. He was always extremely professional and took the time prior to and after the wedding to go over details. I'm in love with every photo and look forward to reliving my wedding through them for years to come.

When looking for a wedding photographer, we focused on finding someone extraordinary. After seeing Mark’s work on his website, we were intrigued. After speaking to Mark, we felt that he had something very special to offer. Then, after working with him and seeing the pictures of our wedding day, our instincts had been confirmed! Mark is an artist. You will notice Mark references Ansel Adams on his website. In our opinion he represents a famous quote of Mr. Adams “ You don’t take a good photograph, you make it.” Mark made our day and our photographs, extraordinary, just like he is.

I will preface by saying I absolutely hate having my picture taken. As a result, I had used the same Realtor® headshot well beyond its shelf life. I had an interim photo shoot a couple of years prior to meeting Mark, but didn’t like one picture, so continued to use my outdated headshot. I noticed his work on Instagram and inquired. He is exceptionally responsive, professional and accommodated my schedule. When I viewed his website, I noticed he had previously taken pictures of a friend. I reached out to her and she confirmed what I had hoped, he’s a true artist who would get a great shot. I could not be happier. Mark picked the perfect location, which allowed us privacy and time. He took a great deal of time to consider lighting, setting, and background options. Prior to meeting, my hope (because of my own disdain for having my picture taken) was to leave the session with 1 headshot that I liked. To say he nailed it is an understatement! After my 1st round of narrowing down, I liked an astounding 30!!! He was extremely patient and committed to getting a shot I would love. As my friend had said, he is a true artist. I highly recommend Mark.

The best way to describe Mark, is as a Story Teller. He tells your love story through photography and he has a very artistic and timeless way of looking at things through his lenses. After thorough investigating with different wedding photographers, Mark is the one my husband and I chose to be a part of our special wedding day. Leading up to our special day, Mark was always responsive, timely, reliable, and he always knew exactly what to say in the moment. We wouldn’t change anything and should we ever need another photographer down the line, we wound not hesitate to hire Mark again. I highly recommend Mark to anyone who isn’t looking for that “Basic” look because Mark is anything but Basic and that’s why we chose him.
