Warning!!! If your health is important to you, avoid Cardiovascular Consultants in Phoenix. I have tried, in vain, to schedule a referral appointment with any of the several clinics in the valley for over 2 months to no avail. The main scheduling staff is 90% rude, inept, and irresponsible... They lost my referral on several occasions, asking me and the provider to resubmit without remedy while maintaining rudeness throughout. To date I have still not been able to make an appointment and ended up in an emergency room as result. Great doctors, terrible staff. Beware!

Worst experience of my life to date! My mom had congestive heart failure and had been a patient at this practice for almost 10 years. She had an episode of dangerously low blood pressure this summer and was admitted to the hospital. They discharged her with instructions to make an appointment with her heart doctor ASAP. CVC ignored her for several days, wouldn't reach out or give instructions over the phone, and wouldn't give her an appointment for almost a week! The day she died, she was calling them asking for help saying she really needed an earlier appointment. The receptionist told her, "There are no appointments until tomorrow. Stop calling our office." Now my last memory of her is my mom calling me crying and terrified because she didn't know what to do. Imagine my disdain for this company when three months after her death, I'm still receiving letters from them asking her to schedule a follow up appointment! If you have other options, I suggest you stay as far away from this doctor as possible!

My mom passed away and while it probably still would have happened I may have been here with her before she was unconscious in the ER. She was released from the hospital stable but told not to take any of her medications until she could see her cardiologist in one to two days. She was released from the hospital on a Saturday and started calling on Monday. The earliest available time was nearly a month out. And she couldn't get a doctor to call her back about her medications. They even told her not to call them again and to wait for them to call. She did finally get a call back in an earlier appointment that was just a few days out. But in the meanwhile she ended up in the emergency room again very suddenly and was unconscious way before I had a time to fly in. I am furious if the doctors just had a chance to look at her chart they could have alerted family to come in. And eased her a lot of stress knowing whether or not she should resume any of her medications. When I called because she missed her appointment due to the fact she had died they didn't have anything on her charts about an appointment that she had scheduled a few days out. They only had the one for the end of the month and they didn't have anything on their notes saying that she would like to get in sooner which is bull.

Overall experience was HORIBLE! Receptionist at the Deer Valley office is rude! Billing used the wrong code for follow up visit to go over test results (ECG, Event monitor, Nuclear Stress Test) billed as Annual Physical, which it was not! When I had the visit I had met Deductible and Out of Pocket and if correct (99214) was used it would have been 100% covered by their agreement with Insurance. When I went back for my 3 month follow up after the discussion of test results, there was no mention of an outstanding amount due. It wasn't until I received a billing statement exactly 1 year after the appointment (Dec 2021). CVC uses a third party billing company, so they have been useless to talk to even with my insurance company making a conference call with 3rd party and me. We left a voicemail message as their office manager, Cecily, won't answer the phone, nor return our call. There is no way to get a hold of anyone to have the claim resubmitted with the correct code. CVC is expecting me to pay an amount that is not a Medicare rate and refuse to resubmit the claim. 3rd party billing company suggested I make an appointment to discuss the issue with the cardiologist I saw ... in other words, pay to see the doctor to get it billed correctly with the insurance company as Cecily won't even talk to my insurance company about the issue. Dr Mann was thorough, however, he wrote in his visit notes an interpreter was used at the follow up, when there wasn't and we both speak/spoke English, so one was not necessary. Previously, I saw Dr Orchard with my father and Dr Orchard yelled at me, "What do you want me to do about it?" "It" is referring to my father's blood pressure issue as my father also had mild to moderate Alzheimer's disease, so Dr Orchard felt there was no need to address the blood pressure issue.
