Alex at billing tried to help me the best he could and my therapist was nice. However, I got charged an arm and a leg which was probably due to my insurance. Still, it took me years to seek out mental health and I got no relief and now owe a large bill.

First and foremost, navigating the insurance landscape to find a psychiatrist that is in-network or still in-network, accepting new patients, and in-person visits, then finding a provider that gels with is quite a challenge. Doing all this while undergoing a mental health crisis is over the edge When I found a provider, the video conference call didnt work, so I had to go via telephone, which is so in-personal. They shouldve rescheduled. But we went forward. For me, opening up and telling a stranger my innermost fears, feelings etc., is no easy task, but I managed. I had taken time off work for my situations and was on a medical leave. During the close of my evaluation, I advised the provider that I was on a medical leave of absence and that Matrix would be contacting them for paperwork. She said they do not support a long leave of absence, then proceeded to advise that the meds she prescribed can take up to 3-4 weeks to see results. SMH Its been 20 days, multiple calls and emails to Bayless, multiple calls to their Health Mark records provider, paid their $35 fee to have the records faxed, and still no records. A couple of weeks later, the PA called and advised that it was Bayless policy that they have to see a patient at least 3 times before filling out in FMLA/leave of absence paperwork, yet didnt schedule a follow up for a month later, after knowing I was already on leave? No common sense here. I never received a call back from their practice manager after emails and voice mail messages. This office is inefficient, and totally not a good fit for me.

I was set up at Bayless by my insurance (BCBS of Arizona) to help get a handle on my anxiety. Had a couple of sessions with Dr Jarrett. She was very nice and pleasant to interact with, when someone actually decided to connect via telehealth (I was stood up twice with them just not showing up) I was told on more than one occasion that my insurance was taking care of the bill. She asked me questions and I answered on a sliding scale like most places. She put me on an antihistamine to help with the anxiety. Ended care with them and I received a bill for $543. Bayless told me they were going to have my bill reviewed and I wouldnt receive anything more from them until I received a response about the results of my bill being under review. I received another bill, I called to ask about it and reached a fellow by the name Alex. His words were They only put a hold on it for a limited number of days. Even though its still under review, I need you to pay it or go to collections When I asked how they can send it to collections while it was under review, he became pretty annoyed. He then became condescending and rude. I dont see the point in paying a $543 bill while my old insurance and Bayless are figuring out why it was denied when I was told it wouldnt be. Im equally annoyed by BCBS, but they have at least been nice after being on hold for over 3 hours and transferred to 4 different people. Bayless not so much. I wouldnt recommend Bayless to stranger, let alone someone that I know.
