PARAMOUNT LANDSCAPE - Phoenix, AZThe Board Members for our Chandler Community HOA hired Paramount Landscape in December 2019. Taylor Haught, the Owner/Principal of the company, met with the board and our property manager on site to discuss his proposal and walk the property. Taylor seemed very professional, knowledgeable, and had years of experience. He promised they would do a much better job of maintaining the landscape in our community. We signed the contract with Paramount. A few months into the contract, the crew supervisor was fired. The irrigation techs kept changing. At one point they had their irrigation tech leading a crew of employes on a very large scale planting/beautification project for which we contracted with them. We did not get the intended plants in the right places, nor did we get the correct quantities. We spent hours day after day, helping them figure things out and answering their questions. Many of the plants died, not once, but twice and had to be replanted over and over. They wanted us to share the cost of those lost plants! The bedding plants also did not do well. As time went on, crew supervisors came and went. Communication between the Owner, Crew Supervisor and our Property Manager was very poor. It took a great deal of time and effort to reach them when there was a question or issue. The property began to deteriorate. Garbage and debris were not routinely picked up in accordance with the contract. There were weeds all over the property. The north side of our community was always cluttered with leaves, downed tree branches, garbage, etc. It looks like they didn't rotate to that area but once every 2-3 months! The board members were constantly asking for them to return to do something they missed on that weeks rotation. It became so very frustrating dealing with this company and the owner. So in December 2021 we notified them that we would be terminating their contract. We asked if they would terminate on December 31, 2021. They said no, that we agreed to provide them 30 days notice  as stated in the contract. We agreed. So now the termination date was set to  January 16, 2022. Paramount Landscape never showed up once during the month of January to do the weekly landscape. The lawns were not mowed, trash not removed, debris blown out, shrubs/trees not trimmed, etc. Neighbors started to call and complain. Our property manager called when we notified her and the response from Taylor Haught was "short staffed." They would get there. Well they never did! We asked for a refund for 2 weeks worth of service (not performed) that was already paid. They ignored our property manager's repeated calls and emails. We most recently sent a certified letter to Taylor requesting this refund. Still, he has not even responded. Is this the kind of landscape service you would like for your property? Regardless of the "value" you think you may be getting from Paramount, DO NOT ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH THEM! They do not provide quality landscaping service. They promise you everything, but rarely deliver. They have trouble keeping their employes. Communication is very poor. Quality of work is poor.  Business Management is very poor.  Do yourself a favor and choose another landscaping company. You'll be much happier you did!
