Mikes Land Enhancements, LLC

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY!Mike is a great sales guy who will constantly tell you, "I'm a man of my word." Unfortunately, he is not at all. Here are just a few reasons to avoid working with him:1 - Although he will lie to your face and tell you he is licensed, bonded, and insured, he is not. You can look up Mike and his LLC (Mike's Land Enhancements, LLC) on the Registrar of Contractors and see he is not licensed.2 - He is constantly lying about when your project will be finished. During our project he and his family were involved in two accidents. This, of course, occurred days after starting our project. Ironically, a neighbor of ours used Mike for a project and after a few days of starting their project, they experienced a similar car accident story.3 - On several occasions I asked for a final invoice. Mike said, "You have my word I'll get it to you today." Unfortunately, we did not receive one until the job was complete. To no surprise the invoice was several thousand dollars over what was discussed along the way.4 - At the beginning of our project we pointed out to Mike the grass seams on a previous project of his didn't look very good. He promised that wouldn't be the case with ours. To continue providing sub par service - we have visible seams in our grass!5. Mike personally ran the wiring to install a fan outside. When I discovered he was not licensed (for this or any of the work he did) we called a licensed electrician to look at what Mike did. They confirmed it was not up to code. I contacted Mike asking him to cover the cost for the electrician that had to correct his work and he stated, "I didn't charge you for the labor, but I'm glad you got it fixed."If you are looking for a "reliable and trustworthy" ROC licensed contractor - DO NOT USE MIKE'S LAND ENHANCEMENTS.

We made a decision to change our yard and become more aware of water usage. We interviewed several landscapers and were not satisfied with what they wanted to do. One day we saw a yard that Mike had done. We really liked it, so we called Mike. He came to our house and we told him what we thought we wanted. His first question was What is your budget? We told him and he said he would prepare some renderings for us. He did, he gave us three renderings for each the front and back yard. It was obvious that he understood what we wanted and that understood and appreciated a budget. He did the job and now we are very proud of our yards (front and back). We have hired him to do the maintenance for the yard. You will not be disappointed if you talk to him and have him take care of your yard needs. WE MUST AMEND OUR REVIEW. We made a mistake and paid Mike before the job was finished. BIG MISTAKE. He refuses to return and complete the job. If you do hire him DO NOT PAY UNTIL THE JOB IS 100 per cent complete. We do not recommend you hire him. For us he is not eligable for re hire.

I've known and used Mike's Land Enhancements for the last 3 to 4 years and have had nothing but great experiences. Even though we've just moved from the area, we made it so that he still services our home, which is now a rental in Phoenix, as we can trust that our yard and property will receive the proper care, to the level that we trust, especially since we're not at the house. I can't say that I'd trust many other companies in Phoenix to this level.
