Paychex

Paychex decided to take California income tax and arizona income tax out of my paychecks. I work and live in arizona. Over $1400 worth, and now they are saying it will take 8 weeks to investigate and return the money.

I truly regret trusting Paychex with my company's payroll. They regularly miss overtime pay for my team and their customer service is non exisistant. I have requested an orientation for months and they have said they'd do it and then nothing! My team doesn't like dealing with them. No one will actually pick up the phone and call you back. They are slow respond to an email if they even respond at all. Like they'll cc their colleagues in response to a customer service issue and no one responds, like it doesn't even matter. If my colleague reached out to me, to help a client, it would be an instant team effort in accountability. It's been like this for months. Promises to fix problems go undelivered. The OC is really bad. I hate leaving 1 stars to anyone, but man have I tried and wasted my time with this company. Edit: its been a year and I have a new account manager Christian. Hes been responsive, professional and has kept our payroll on time. Im editing this review because it deserves to be upgraded.

This company literally would have to become physically violent with customers to get any worse than they currently are. It is astonishing how HORRIBLE Paychex' processes are regarding client relations. It is almost like they have a plan to torture the people that are stupid enough to sign up.

If "zero stars" was an option; that would be my choice. We have had multiple changes in our account service rep. But it doesn't matter; you cannot get ahold of them anyway. I send emails to our rep, and a week later I am waiting for a response. If you call and request to speak to anyone - the hold time is outrageous. Request a callback when "it is your turn"? Sure... and then still be put on hold for half an hour. Companies cannot process payroll by having questions and concerns answered days or weeks later. And any telephone number you find online for this company leads to the same damn automated attendant that gets you nowhere. Their fees are NOT cheaper than anyone else; they have messed up our EOY W2; and a demand for a response is met with silence. I don't know why anyone would trust these people.
