April 2014 -- Fast fix Drywall repaired our ceiling and wall stress cracks in 4 areas of our home. Lazaro is a true artist. He matched our existing wall texture perfectly and there is no evidence whatsoever that repairs were made. This company does quality work. James and Jerry stand behind their product and go the extra mile to deliver what they promise. Do not hesitate to hire them.

I am giving him 2/5 stars because we were beyond disappointed in the decision to choose a bad painter. We wanted our popcorn ceilings removed and ceiling repainted; we have a small 1600 sq ft house and we were quoted ~$3200 for the entire job. We were promised the best paint, Dunn Edwards Suprema on the contract and they were supposed to paint the ceilings afterwards.
First, they got us Sherwin Williams Paint instead of Dunn Edwards. When we asked James why he got different paint, he was nonchalant and said they were the same quality. We were not satisfied with that answer so we asked for the contract to be honored in full. It was James who wrote Dunn Edwards was the best quality paint. If it was up to us we would never had known the difference. We were disappointed because we really trusted him and felt like he tried to shortchange us.
Overall the job has taken 7 days and they may not finish today. The actual drywall/popcorn ceiling removers were very professional and pleasant. They finished their part of the job in two days. On the last day of their work however, they scratched our wooden floors near the doorway pretty severely. We will now have to replace that.
James hired Eric and another nice young man. Apparently Eric has never worked for James before our project. This was another case of us feeling short changed because he didn’t bring his usual crew. The painter Eric was unprofessional and exhibited odd, erratic behavior. He didn’t want to cover our furniture or use painters tape. When we asked that he cover our furniture and walls he got upset and walked out of the house. Additionally, we were promised that they would show up today at 7-730 and they showed up at 840. On Saturday they did about 1 hour of work and 1.5 hours of talking. He told James we were “telling him how to paint” when we were just asking for him to be courteous to our belongings. He lied to James and which made him call us and say that WE were being difficult! Eric left patches of paint on the edges of the ceiling that needed to be painted with a brush. He put paint on our walls (which are a different color than the ceiling) and clothes. When we asked him to use a paint brush to get the corners of the ceilings he refused. We asked him to fix his errors and honestly it was like pulling teeth. He scratched our wooden floors they did not put the blades back on the fans, they didn’t put the AC vents back in the ceiling and they did not put back our recessed lights!
We were going to add on the job of painting the walls but by the 7th day we were disappointed exhausted. After Eric’s poor behavior we cancelled and told them just to finish the ceilings.
I would never hire them again if they continue to use Eric nor would I recommend them to anyone else.
***UPDATE 1/2/19***
James came over today and viewed the job and saw all of the errors Eric made. He called his regular painter Jesse who was extremely nice and professional. I will post pictures of the fixed job and increase the star rating when it is done.

The first time we spoke with James on the phone about having our popcorn ceilings removed he was very informative, professional and eager to assist us. He came over, looked at the job (21 foot ceiling in one room) and gave us a very fair price. The work began on time with a crew of exceptional workers. They moved and covered all of our furniture, completed the task, and returned everything to its rightful place. We have never seen such diligent hardworking men. We would HIGHLEY recommend James, Jerry, Fernando and Crew at Fast Fix Drywall to anyone needing popcorn ceiling removal.
