Gentle Dental

My husband went here to get some bone removed from his gum. He was referred by his insurance company so we knew they were in network. When he got there they called insurance and told insurance "everything" they would be billing and got what my husband would owe. So he paid. got the bone removed, came home and went about life. Then we get a bill from them for $204.40 2 months later. APPARENTLY, when the oral surgeon came into the room and spoke words to my husband that was billed as a "consultation" which THEY know is NOT covered by insurance. So they agree to take what the insurance wants to pay them (reasonable & customary charges) but because they don't feel that amount is enough THEY EXTORT this $165 from you for a dude to come into the room and say "hi, let's get that bone out of your mouth.". They say they have a signed contact with my husband but they didn't give him a copy, which I believe they are required to if it is indeed a contract. We'll pay the extortion this time, but this will be the last penny they see from us or anyone we know (and that's a lot of people with teeth).

They get one star because you cant give zero, and for their honesty on the phone. They have been bought out by another company and the stuff on their website is no longer current or valid. They leave it up there to get you into the office, and then once you are there they tell you the new story and prices, hoping you will stay and play their new game with them. I came back to the house and called the number on the site and they confirmed it, I asked her straight out . "so everything on the website is a lie?".. and she said YES! The honesty is appreciated, even though wasting my time was not.
