Omg! I just found out that the Executive Director for this organization advocates declawing SENIOR CATS! With KIDNEY DISEASE at that!!! What pet professional would put a senior cat with kidney disease at such risk??!! Especially one in the veterinary profession??? I’m disgusted and appalled!!!! This association should be advocating fir the highest care and well being for pets and this is highly unethical!!!

I recently took in my brother's cats because his work responsibilities recently changed to include significantly more travel. My brother insists on home care for his cats (who are 14 years old). I started my research thinking it would be easy to find information and meet his request. At first, It wasn't easy at all...until I came across this organization! I left them a brief email and they called me almost immediately. Very helpful. Big shout out to them for providing me with extremely valuable information. If you have pets, I strongly recommend browsing their website for information. A couple years ago, I had three very elderly cats (with me 18 years). A site like this would have been extremely valuable during their life span!!! That is, if I had known about it.
