We were given a bid by Bruce Gardner and got approved for a renovation loan for a huge home addition.
We paid $4k for blueprints and $3k in closing costs and while waiting for permits we were noticing very very little communication from Bruce Gardner and lack of return phone calls. We were finally informed that the person who wrote our bid no longer works for the company and that he bid $100k lower than what is required.
We are now out $7k and cant find a contractor who can start our project within the 180 days before having to rewrite our loan. This means we have to refinance again.
We were never able to get a return phone call from the office and when we finally got ahold of us he told us this information. It makes us wonder how long they would’ve waited before telling us they weren’t going to do it. We are extremely disappointed.
I strongly urge you to look elsewhere.

Bad job and they never comback to fix. And. They charge. Good money But even the owwer. Come to my bussines and check The job But he never send the guy to fix my gabinet. So im yes telling my experince. Goo lock with this guyss

I wish I could give zero stars. We contacted Bruce Gardner Co. back in October, along with 2 other contractors to give us a bid for a full home remodel ($300k+). We chose to go with BGC because they seemed like they had experience with the type of work we needed and they were also able to give us an itemized bid that appeared to be very transparent. Everything went downhill after we had our fist meeting. I wasn't contacted for weeks and phone calls weren't returned. I tried calling the office and the receptionist was very receptive to my concerns, but there is really only so much a receptionist can do. She also mentioned that the contractor was running into issues with our bid, saying he bid it too low. She told me she was going to have him call us immediately- he didn't. She mentioned she was going to get the owner involved- never received a phone call from him. I had to call every morning for nearly a week to get the contractor to call me back. And when he finally did, he said that no one was available to start work. There is absolutely no reason that he couldn't have called to inform me of this, instead of disappearing for nearly 3 weeks. I also had to ask him if there was a bidding issue (instead of him being upfront about it), to which he replied saying yes, he bid it too low. I am so glad we found out that this is the type of company they are before beginning work. Ive never felt more under-appreciated, ignored, and strung along in my life. This job was supposed to take about 3 months to finish- we are nearly 2 months in (since permits were approved in December) with not a single thing started. If you want your job done in a timely manner, want to stay in budget, and want to be treated with respect, use someone else!

The Bruce Gardner Co. recently performed repairs in our home as a result of a water pipe break. We are completely satisfied with their services. At the outset, a company representative came to our home with our insurance adjuster, to ensure that they were on the same page regarding what work needed to be done, and how it should be done. Scheduling proceeded immediately, and all logistics were seamless as each specialist came to the house to complete their part of the project. Every worker was professional and considerate of our needs as the work proceeded, and all work was completed accurately and quickly. When I needed to call the office for any reason, the staff were very responsive to my calls, and were both friendly and professional. I would highly recommend this company to any of my friends or family members.
