We love Family VetCare! Everyone in the office is so friendly and you can tell that they really care for every animal that comes in. Would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for a Vet!

I can't believe what just happened. How do you go from being a GREAT vet to what happened today? So I have a large muscular Pit bull who is very timid when in a strange environment. Before covid I would take my dog to Mesa Family Vet Care. They would do the exam In the room with me there. No issues whatsoever, happy, friendly, well behaved. If we needed to draw blood or anything of the such I would just walk to the back with them and hold him while they drew blood or anything else they needed to easy peasy no issues. So over the past two years during covid They would take the dogs in the back for the exam without the owner's. We tried on three separate occasions to get my dog in for a check-up. He refuses to go into the back without me and starts pulling backwards on the leash because he's in a strange environment and does not know the people trying to take him. This is where three times I have ended the appointment, given my apologies and said we would try again at a later date. We even tried sedating him once and that still didn't work. Today they called me to set up a yearly exam. I asked if they were still following covid procedures explaining briefly what the issue was. My concern here is not to have visiting the vet be a traumatic experience for my dog as well as the safety of others as he is a quite large dog and very powerful. Several times during this phone conversation I had to correct the person trying to set the schedule as they repeatedly alluded to the issue at hand being of my own creation. They conferred with the veterinarian who said having the appointment the old way wouldn't be a problem so I scheduled the appointment. 10 minutes later I get a phone call from the same person. For some reason they felt the need to call me back and tell me that on the last visit I had a problem dog but they would still do the exam. I cancelled the exam and will just go to another vet. So after Mesa Family Vet Care being my vet for about 3 years now and being very happy with their service we are done. I will go give my business to a vet that understands that it’s not my privilege to use their services but there's to have me as a customer.

I recently moved from New York to Arizona, my dog ended up getting sick shortly after we moved here. Based off reviews I chose them and they were wonderful with Monica. She ended up having bladder stones and the vet kept me informed and answered any questions I had. One of the only places I trust my dog with.

About
Families And Animals

Helping to keep dogs in the home!...Families and Animals helps teens and dogs. Saving lives of dogs and helping teens stay or get on the straight and narrow path. To help teens become better and help them build their self-esteem. And the dogs that are in foster have everything paid for so that all the the families just have to provide love to the dog. When the dogs are in the homes the teens will be training them basic obedience and then will rehome them with 5 free training sessions to keep the dogs in the home. Just need lots of donations to help pay for food and vet bills that will help the dogs that I help until they a forever home.
