Due to a horrible experience we had about two years ago we haven't been back till today. We decided to give this place a second shot because we had a craving for their jalapeno sauce. Well... Not very happy with the size of the protions for the price. Also, it turns out the jalapeno sauce has been watered down to taste like watered sour cream. We now have no reason to be back, sorry Penasco's but you lost us.

I’m not even sure what I just ate. 3 day old meat in some kind of gravy wrapped in a tortilla with rice and beans that tasted exactly the same, but not like rice and beans. I’m genuinely concerned about what I just ate. It was one of the grossest food experiences I’ve ever had. Nothing Mexican about the indescrible flavor. The food is generally subpar with the exception of the salsa which is par and fried ice cream. It’s sad that you can get quality Mexican food two hours away from Mexico.
