Got locked out of our house and called KeyMe, a tech came out and said if he was able to pick the lock it would be $35 but if he couldnt and had to drill the lock open it would be $250 and he would change the locks and give us 2 keys. We were fine with it either way because we needed to get into our house of course. So he couldnt pick it, he drilled into the lock and still couldnt get it open. We came up with the idea and decided at that point to break our mesh screen door to unlock the door manually. He had us pay $75 via cash app even though he couldnt get us in, he just drilled through our lock and left. I called KeyMe to express my concern with no help from them at all. Im fine with paying a service fee since he did come out late at night, but considering all he did was drill into our lock and leave, we were ideally hoping for a refund for the difference of the service charge. The tech said the company is just a dispatcher that called him out, his name is Ronel I. and hopefully no one else has to deal with this company. Obviously we are going to have to take the loss at this point and replace our own lock, but its disappointing that we called a company whose purpose is to help with lockouts and they couldnt even do that.
