image 6 months ago, I had engine builders put a rebuilt engine in my 2006 Mitsubishi Outlander. From day 1 when my car was picked up in El Mirage the tow truck driver (Kodie) was so amazing, friendly and professional. Within weeks, my car was done, fast and efficiently. Through the whole process they communicated with me every step of the way (Greg). I have to say Im so pleased and happy with everything. Runs like new. My car is doing amazing. It drives smoothly and sounds great. I have had my first oil change also. No issues so far, I have been very please with their work! Thank you again for doing an amazing job.

image The guys at The Engine Builders are life savers. I bought my 2004 Jeep liberty used and it wouldnt Even make it home. I explained my Situation to Greg Monday morning and he instructed me DO NOT drive it, he sent a Truck the same day to pick up the Jeep and tow it.
The next morning they started work on my Jeep, it was ready to pick up Friday. I got a check engine light Sunday and was concerned something was wrong, took it in first thing Monday and head them check it out, turns out my gas cap seal was bad, a new gas cap and its great!! After about 7 thousand miles on my third oil change its safe to say my Jeep runs like a new car!! Huge thanks the the guys down at the engine builders, they got me back on the road in time to start my new job and they kept their word on everything we agreed upon before they picked Up my car. I will definitely be coming back if I ever need future engine work.

image I recently had a deeply disappointing experience with the engine builder .After dropping off my car for what was supposed to be a routine repair, I was shocked to find out that it took over six months to fix my engine. Not only did this extended delay inconvenience me greatly, but it also resulted in additional costs as my car's computer system malfunctioned during the process, necessitating a costly replacement.
To make matters worse, when I finally received my car back, I discovered a significant engine leak. Despite bringing this to their attention immediately, the shop informed me that they would need another week to address the issue. This lack of accountability and urgency is unacceptable, especially after already waiting for an exorbitant amount of time for the initial repair.
Overall, my experience with the engine builders was incredibly frustrating and costly. I would strongly advise others to seek alternative options for their automotive needs, as the level of incompetence and disregard for customer satisfaction displayed by this shop is simply unacceptable.
In addition to the abysmal handling of my car's repairs, the customer service at the engine builders was equally appalling. Throughout the six-month ordeal, communication was virtually nonexistent, with little to no updates provided on the status of my vehicle. Any attempts to inquire about the progress were met with vague responses or outright dismissal.
When I voiced concerns about the extended timeline and additional issues arising with my car, the staff displayed a blatant lack of empathy and accountability. Instead of taking responsibility for the delays and errors, they brushed off my concerns and made excuses for their incompetence.
Furthermore, the lack of urgency in addressing the engine leak upon receiving my car back was indicative of their disregard for customer satisfaction. Instead of prioritizing rectifying their mistakes and ensuring my car was returned in proper working condition, they treated the situation as if it were a mere inconvenience.
Overall, the poor customer service at the engine builders only added insult to injury. Not only did they fail to deliver on their promises of timely and competent repairs, but they also demonstrated a complete disregard for customer satisfaction and basic professionalism. I would strongly caution anyone considering their services to look elsewhere for reliable and respectful automotive care.
The irony of their name hits home.

We went out of our way on this car. No it wasn't a routine repair not this car 2018 Ford Fusion. The Engine was blown apart, had every rod, and main bearing spun. broken connecting rods, one put a hole in the side of the block. also when vehicle arrived we checked computer codes it had a few HARD CODES which are codes that cannot be removed cause the vehicle was constantly driven with them. Maybe the reason the vehicle engine was destroyed. His oil was diluted with fuel which is probably what created his problem. our parts we use for this engine came from the Ford Dealership, being a newer vehicle parts are harder to get, many of which were on Back order. after waiting for backorder parts out of our control we quickly completed the engine rebuild and installation, We got the engine running, but still had the same engine codes as when it arrived. We traced all wiring didn't find anything wrong, however we specialize in building engines, not diagnosing electrical. We paid Two mobile electricians to come out to look at this vehicle, one of which works for the ford dealership, neither of them could diagnose the cause of the fault without further testing. MR. Eduardo himself brought a technician of his choosing to inspect the car. His Technician came out and was not able to figure it out either, But did tell Mr. Eduardo that the engine sounded great and that we did a nice job building the engine, but there was something electrical causing his problem. We had it towed to another electrical shop who had it about a week, they also could not diagnose the cause of fault. All of this diagnoses to the electrical system has been paid by The Engine Builders. we spent many hours finding an electrical specialist who could actually help with this situation, Thankfully we Finally found a very knowledgeable and experienced shop specializing in wiring and computer/auto electric. We took the car to this shop that ended up Diagnosing a bad computer (ecu). The cause of the computer failure was constant driving with a shorted out o2 sensor, which occurred before we received the vehicle. After the computer was replaced we received a call from the customer saying the problem was fixed and the car ran and drove perfect, aside from an apparent oil leak. our office manager looked at our schedule and told him to bring in the following week to address the oil leak, we have not heard back since. We have put thousands of dollars extra in labor by our shop and outside recourses to fix his cars electrical system which had nothing to do with the contracted job of rebuilding an engine, also In attempts to make amends with the inconveniences met during this job we decided to NOT charge the remaining balance of $1,040.00 from the original invoice for rebuilding the engine.

image Hello, this was my first experience with The Engine Builders, having looked for the right fit. Having received a 2012 Ford XLT F150 Super-Cab 4x4 with a blown engine from my sons. It has a 3.5l V6 Twin Turbos, appreciating the truck and knowing the engine needed a rebuild, with such a clean 4x4 body and clean cloth interior. On Saturday 03/09/2024 my truck was loaded and dropped off at The Engine Builders shop in Glendale. It was here I met the person I had spoken to on many occasions prior to meeting Greg in person. I liked that he was knowledgeable on my motor having built a few himself. Monday morning, I started receiving pictures of my motor being removed from my truck. Tuesday, we conversed by texts and pictures and decided on a new block and crank. After talking with Kody on Wednesday about some parts required for my engine outside of our build agreement and scope of work. Most people are offended by an offer to purchase parts, but both Greg and Kody appreciated the offer. So a few hours later I delivered two new Turbos for my new motor.
Following Monday morning Kody called to let me know that my truck would be ready around noon. However, their mechanic Julio on the test drive found that two sensors for my exhaust system needed to be replaced. A couple hours later I returned with parts from Sanderson Ford. Great people, Bruce, Johnny, and Kevin in parts were so helpful and quick. After returning and Julio replaced the old sensors, he went over my break-in requirements. Julio is very polite and knowledgeable, I, being 69 yrs. young, was excited in driving my rebuilt motors break-in miles. It was amazing that it was completed in just Seven and a Half days of R&R build time. I am really looking forward in the future working with Greg, Kody, Julio, and their crew, especially, since I am doing a three-Year Warranty!
I know that when I called, they answered, when I went to the shop, all their employees were friendly and helpful. Need a Ford Motor, this is the place to have it re-built. My drive home was literally my first time driving it in the year I owned it. Wanted a nice older 4x4, so yes, I am 101% satisfied with THE ENGINE BUILDERS! I Believe So will You! Stay Safe! God Bless!
