Cute place with retail in the front for household items, teapots, candlesticks, not sure what else. The food was very good, gyros pita with steak fries. The pita came with a creamy yogurt sauce, almost Ranch-ish, not as tart or cucumbery as I'm used to with tzatziki. Service was friendly and personable, I'd go back when I'm in downtown Gilbert again

I recently discovered this place. The service is top-notch the food is a little pricey but it's worth it the portions are large it's all delicious and to be honest I have never had some of the things they serve. I think I've tried pasta dishes I've tried some of the appetizers but I think my favorite so far is the gyro

The good: the restaurant is small and quaint with a little store filled with knickknacks and a coffee bar in the front. Our server was very good which is reflected in the 3 stars for service. Our appetizer (mozzarella salad) was tasty and their house dressing on the salad that comes with the entrees was delicious. My husbands eggplant entree was outstanding. The menu is huge and we were informed by our waiter to read it closely bc the kitchen does not like to make any modifications (which is no problem). After reading the menu carefully, I ordered the baked ravioli Marco Polo bc it sounded delicious and did not contain mushrooms. I despise mushrooms and they make me sick if I eat them. The bad: Within my first few bites I saw a mushroom. I asked our waiter if it was a fluke or if this dish contained mushrooms (the menu did not say it contained mushrooms). The waiter asked the kitchen and they informed him that this dish contained mushrooms. I could no longer eat my entree. Though the waiter was very apologetic (hence the 3 stars for service), we learned that Romeos has a policy of never comping food. So, I paid for my entree that I couldnt eat and was not offered an alternative. Thankfully, my husband likes mushrooms, so hell eat the leftovers. So, buyer beware: they dont do modifications (which is no problem if the menu is thorough and you know what youre ordering), they dont thoroughly list ingredients on their menu, and they dont comp meals for any reason. Every patron should be aware that they might add ingredients to a dish, unbeknownst to you, that you dont like or are allergic to, and you will still have to pay for your meal that you cant eat or that made you sick (and you will not be offered an alternative). So while the food I was able to eat was excellent (hence the 2 stars), its hard to highly rate a restaurant that puts undisclosed ingredients in a dish and then essentially says tough luck if you cant or wont eat it. Dietary restrictions: They do not accommodate dietary restrictions. They do not make modifications to the menu. Moreover, they add ingredients that are not listed on the menu. If you are allergic or do not like the ingredients they added, they essentially tell you tough luck.
