Wifi is always going out... Would be happy to give at least 4 stars if the wifi didn’t completely blackout once or twice a week. Other than the ridiculous amount of blackouts, customer service and connection is pretty decent.

Sorry to give such a low star review, but we've tried several times to become a BlueSpan customer and they never followed through. The first time they came to our home they were unable to get a signal, although we have perfect line of site to the towers on Mt. Elden. They said they had to fix the equipment and would get back to us. They never called us. We called again several weeks later and again were told they were still fixing the equipment, that we were on their call list and someone would get back in touch. But again, no one ever did. That was 3 months ago. I have many doubts about the professionalism of this service and I'd be wary if I were you, especially since they require upfront contracts.

Every single time it's cold outside the internet seems to be very slow or just shut off. It's fustrating because we live In Flagstaff and this is prone to happen. When it's warm and not cold the internet is okay. Just want to know why it does this.

I started service with Bluespan in July 2020. There were no options other than Bluespan where we lived, so we went with them. We paid the crazy $200 setup fee and then started our service. We had issues immediately. I have to work from home during the pandemic, and I was constantly being dropped from zoom calls. I became a joke with my colleagues because it happened every single day, making it extremely difficult to have productive calls with my coworkers and clients. It was unacceptable and unprofessional. And this doesn't even describe the frustration as I tried to get work done aside from the calls, and as my husband and I tried to accomplish other personal tasks.
I called Bluespan's support team repeatedly. I often had to wait on hold for lengthy wait times, but this was the only option to try to seek any resolution. Sometimes they had a fix that seemed to help for a few hours or a few days at best, but other times it didn't seem to help at all. Bluespan indicated that their support team is available to provide assistance, and I should have called more if I was having so many issues. I indicated to the support teams every time that these were ongoing, daily problems. And like another reviewer, I would have been calling nearly every day. Is that seriously their best solution?
Oh! And don't let me forget about the times when the internet was out for multiple days straight. That happened twice during our 4 months of service with Bluespan. What on earth were we paying for?
Ultimately, we decided we needed to move. Bluespan was our only option for service and it just literally wasn't working. I assumed that since we were completely uprooting our lives because Bluespan service was so subpar, that they would waive the remaining amount of our contract.
I was so wrong. Shortly after cancelling service, we got hit with a $500 charge to finish out our 1 year contract. I called and explained this was crazy - we cancelled because the service had never worked well, and now we were having to pay for the poor service that we wouldn't even have the opportunity to use? The person I spoke with the first time I called said the CEO would call me to discuss, but I never heard back. The person I spoke with the second time, just repeatedly said I should have called the support team for assistance (which I did, and which never resulted in a long term solution). He also pointed to the credit they applied last month when I called and complained and complained. That credit was $30, which is just laughable.
So just to sum this up from a financial standpoint - we received unacceptably poor service for about 4 months. For that 4 months of awful service we paid: $200 setup fee, $60/month * 4 months, -$30 credit for poor internet!, $480 fee to fulfill the contract = $890. Wow...
I will also note that this was not only our experience. Our neighbor, a teacher, has been forced to potentially expose herself to Covid every day since the pandemic started. She has the option to teach from home, but their Bluespan internet is so poor that she worries she will lose her job if she tries to stay home and teach over zoom, so she continues to go to the school to teach every day.
Moral of the story: stay away from Bluespan!!!!
