First, I dont understand why Dr. Brownsberger doesnt have a much higher rating! I totally disagree with it because I have been seeing Dr. Brownsberger for at least 5 years! I love Dr. Brownsberger and all the staff in the Flagstaff office! Its not easy finding a good and caring pain management but I found it here! They have always taken good care of me! I highly recommend Dr. Brownsberger!!

Worst service I have ever experienced when trying to talk with ANY staff. Never call back, don't answer and left my elderly mother in excruciating pain for over 5 days waiting for help. Terrible people

So far deeply concerned about this place. Already 2 complete visits, thouroughly checked out by first a polite female and second time a polite male. Not going to use their names because they still have a chance to make it write for me, before I just go to a nuerosurgeon.
I was already on pain management in Florida for 6 maybe 7 years. I gave them actual copies of prior prescriptions mailed to me from my pharmacy. They did not seem to care. I will be 46 in April. I signed 4 releases with them for mri and a pain management and a primary doctor, all that wrote me narcotics and soma. catapres and xanax.
I had to get a referral from another doctor to even come to this place and on my second visit after they ordered only xrays when it should have been another mri, (which would have been my 4th) I am told now they want an mri. The place I went to get the xrays was completely professional though by Bashas. Now I have to go back again for another visit for mri I asked the 1st time, you sure that mri request is not on there. I was told this was in case insurance didn't cover it. But I am in pain after a fall from high up and would have just paid out of pocket for the mri to save time. Also I wanted to see Dr. Brownsberger, not two other doctors 2 or 3 times before I get to see him. Just seems extra hassle and unnecessary wait. I already had spinal stenosis 16 years ago and bulging disc and herniated disc L3 L4.. T6 T7 T8 is even worse. Yes I have pain top left of spine, very bottom low of spine but the middle on the left side locks up, becomes warm and sharp pain. No blood flows thru it unless I had a friend lift me up, pop my back and set me down. Been to 3 or 4 chiropractors. Nobody like Dr. McClusky in Fayetteville Arkansas since after a car accident, fights over girls when I was younger.
Anyway after seeing the xrays and he could have called over to verify my fall from up high and 4 stitches. You can still see the scar and it barely closed at the urgent care on route 66 by Fry's. He says to me two things that really bothered me, as I'm 46 in April. I see you called all around for a doctor and I was like I went to 1 doctor who said she did not write opiates, and asked her to right me a referral for pain management. You can't come here without a referral. Sadly and this is becoming more and more of a problem these days, because of doctors that wrote young men and women 10 years ago. Even though I had prescription history for years for opiates and soma. He did not even offer me norco's which wouldn't have even dented my pain. I was not going to cry for this man, to convince him. I made an appointment with a pain management didn't I?
They said they did not write soma, which to me was either disturbing or possibly he didn't. I don't know. Many places play games and make you jump through 100 hoops to prove you really need help. I was asked why I stopped the meds for years and it got expensive. I had no insurance.
The xrays showed them my spine was an inch out of place at the top and I may need surgery. It is about finding and obtaining a "better quality of life"
