We had an awesome experience on a "Sea Otter and Wildlife" excursion with Captain Hank and his crew (Sean, Robert and Jackson). They were all very knowledgeable, very friendly, welcoming/encouraging questions. Hank has a special talent for finding wildlife and did an excellent job of always making sure each side of the boat had equal viewing time when he located a group of 6 humpback whales, several eagles and a very large group of sea otters. It was an unforgettable day that these gentlemen made happen. We highly recommend them!!!

One of my favorite activities we did in Alaska. We saw sea otters, sea lions, seals, puffins, eagles and humpback whales. We also toured a really cool volcanic island. The boat was not overly crowded and was very comfortable. The employees were so nice. The naturalist was great. I noted that another reviewer indicated that there were some safety issues, but I felt completely safe. Masks were required inside, but not outside.

The captain and crew run a very unsafe operation and the admitted that they knew what they were doing. Stacked 2 kayaks infront of an exit point so the door couldn't be opened and the crew member tried to get out the door and said guess we can't go out this door now. Which then left the other exit point to have bear barrels stacked by the door that could cause tripping hazards if something were to happen with the boat abd the container start rolling around. They also stacked kayaks on the bow around the 3 lift rafts leaving them not easily accessible in case of emergency. Leave only one 6 man lift raft easily accessible during the entire cruise. Also the anchor was left in a position to not be easily accessible in case of emergency. They also then placed a stack of oars for the kayaks infront of one of the life jackets areas making it hard to access incase of emergency. They kept stressing safety of mask but didn't stress safety of an emergency if something were to happen and put all the passengers at risk of there lives. Safety of the passengers should be a major concern since they are traveling around the ice fields where alot could go wrong quick and all the emergency devices were blocked by kayaks and oars. Also the captain beached the boat to pick up a kayak camping group and made everyone sitting by the front window in the best stops of the boat after 2 hours of being in there stops get out of there seat and move so they could put the campers stuff all in the seats once all there stuff was in the chairs it caused the boat to stink of fish on the lower level the rest of the cruise. This will be addressed with the USCG and National Parks in concerns with the safety of passengers.
