Adventure Sixty North

My sister & I did the gold panning adventure. It was a memorable experience. I never knew gold panning was so involved or such hard work, but our guide & shuttle driver, Larry, made it fun & interesting. He was so knowledgeable, breaking down the history of the area, the gold rush era & of course the art of gold panning. We definitely learned & gained a lot, not to mention the flakes of gold & the few gems we managed to uncover/pan. Not enough to retire on, but enough to add to our list of memories. The creek that runs thru the property, allowed us to see/witness the miracle of the salmon that were still spawning. That in itself was an amazing sight. Even the salmon that had already died & were floating, (they are protected & cannot be removed or interfered with, but once you get past the fishy smell, it is truly a wonder to behold). This was one adventure we were able to check off our bucket list & add to our "have to do this again" list.

did a half day kayaking to tonsina point and wow, was it incredible! Rich was an awesome guide, and we got to see so much wild life (land otters, sea otters, starfish, salmon, jellyfish, eagles, and more!) Thank you for the amazing experience!!
