Thank You to Donna at LCAR🙏 We went in a couple of days ago without an appointment and ended up taking home the newest member of our Family 💝. Donna was super sweet, accommodating and patient with us as we took our time finding the right special dog. We had returned hoping to take home another precious girl my husband wanted so bad however we decided to get her after our trip to Arizona... Big mistake as someone else took her while we were away. Don't procrastinate as someone else will end up with the one that won your heart. God works in mysterious ways though as we are 100'/. In Love with Angel

We recently adopted our puppy from LC. I took my kiddos to pick out a puppy. Very friendly and if we ever adopt again we would go back. Ran by caring volunteers and the owner.

Don’t get me wrong we love our dog we got but the professionalism just isn’t there. On the website it is stated that dog comes up to date on vaccines. Doesn’t specify which vaccines (they only cover rabbis which could have easily been stated instead of “vaccines”) but apparently bordetella vaccine which is standard is 5 other shelters that I’ve called since dogs share kennels and kennel cough is very prevalent in shelters. We also had to jump through a million hoops to get vaccine records to begin with, which we were told we would receive at pick up but then when we arrived we were informed we had to call animal control and wait to hear back from previous owners. I called the vet after receiving his vaccine records and was told he needs 2x distemper vaccines because he’s still a puppy and only received 1 before they even got him, a bordetella vaccine, which I’m pretty sure he has kennel cough but are waiting to confirm with vet appointment, dewormed which she does there even though after talking to my vet it is supposed to go through a vet and not the owner of the kennel so I’m a bit confused on that part as well. I understand this is a shelter and there’s a lot of work that goes into it however it’s very unprofessional and clearly not very reliable. Since he came microchipped and already fixed prior to being surrendered we paid $200 for a rabbis shot that expires in 3 months.
