        I found Homer Halibut Hunters and a few others outfits via Google and I decided to go with Captain James and his crew because of their knowledge of the local fishing holes. Their rig was also the perfect size to accommodate my friends and chat with James to get some tips while fishing for that Alaskan white gold aka halibut! James is a personable, outgoing guy with great knowledge of fishing and even better story telling. Id highly recommend this outfit.

        Had the pleasure of fishing with Captain Jim Voss for big Halibut in 2022!! Extremely knowledgeable captain and guide that listened and addressed the needs of our diverse group. Everyone agreed that it was the most enjoyable and not to mention, the most successful trip weve taken in 15 years of halibut chargers! I highly recommend Homer Halibut Hunters and their dedicated staff to provide you with the ultimate Alaskan fishing experience you deserve!!
