We booked our trip, then COVID stopped us from traveling. AFM was very accomodating and allowed us to roll-over our trip to this summer instead. Customer service was amazing. No issues with the equipment. The ride to the airport was a great little extra!

I had a great experience with Alaska Family Motorhomes. The motorhome was well maintained, very clean and priced right (half the cost of other rental places.) Everything worked properly and the handy instructions printed around the inside and out made operating the various functions easy. I highly recommend this place for professional service and dependable motorhomes.

This is the second time I have rented from Alaska Family Motorhomes, and I can say that I will be coming back to them in the future. The RV was clean and loaded with all the things I needed for a comfortable stay. When I had a problem (turns out I just didn’t know how things worked) I got immediate response. I paid far less for a home away from home than I would have by renting a car and a hotel. I also felt much safer not having to wander through hotels and and elevators during this covid-19 epidemic. Update- changed to 3 stars because of response from owner. Stuff happens, I get that. Communication on things are important. Unprofessional. Had an appointment for 1pm for pick up. Scheduled everything around it and timed it. Granted it’s a holiday weekend, so needed to hit the road. Showed up late, paperwork not ready, motorhome not ready. Motorhome was in decent shape. Took pictures of all the outside damage(just in case). There was a lot . It ran and got us from point A to point B, which was fine with us. Others may complain but it was mostly just a ride and an indoor tent for us. Woke up Sunday preparing to be at my drop off appointment at 2pm. Got a text confirming the drop off time. Made sure we got back in time to get the motorhome clean and filled up. Got there at 1:38 pm. I believe in being early because I appreciate other people’s time. Waited until 2PM. No communication from them either time about being late. Left the keys and the motorhome. As a business, you should appreciate other people’s time. After camping for a weekend people are ready to relax and such. Wasted our time. Is a small thing, but they showed that they don’t care about your time. When you set your appointment with them, expect them to be late with no communication. They will overcharge you for being late via their website. However they don’t care if they are late. Don’t recommend these people. Find newer models from real businesses around the same price that care about your time.

From central Florida, we rented a class C motorhome in Anchorage (8-10 till 8-22) & camped over 1500 Alaskan miles in complete comfort & safety. We had everything we needed, right down to a toaster, coffee maker & camp chairs. Our only complaint was we had to pay $75 to "borrow" our bedding. And with that, our only suggestion is a FITTED sheet please. The adjustable AIR bed was very comfortable. Everything else about our vehicle & this company made our Alaskan vacation absolutely fantastic, including driving us to the airport free of charge. We'll be back!!
