Administrative staff was friendly and helpful from initial referral to AK Ortho to completion of scheduled appointment. Dr. Smith and PA Metzger were very attentive to my specific needs, gave thorough information on whats best course of action, and answered my plethora of questions. Reviewed X-ray and MRI imaging to explain whats occurring with specific condition and provided cortisone injection to treat inflammation. Both Dr. Smith and PA Metzger were sensitive to my concerns and unease as this was my first trip to an orthopedic office. I cannot recommend them enough. Thank you

I have been seen here since October of last year due to an accident where my Tibia was fractured but I was initially put in a full hip to ankle cast. Things started out great but as I have continued to be seen here I have been thoroughly disappointed by the bedside manner of the staff. I have been doing self pay as to keep records of all payments for my car insurance and they overcharged me around $600 which was later refunded by a check. I was referred to physical therapy and when I attempted to make a follow up appointment about continued pain up to my hip I was told I will have to re-establish care and later found out they havent even documented the date of my actual accident or kept up with the notes to document every thing Ive said to them. I am currently waiting to be seen again and may attempt to update my review but as of now after spending thousands here out of pocket I believe I can tell you to please see someone else. I thought seeing a specialist would allow me better patient care and unfortunately thats just not the case.

I broke my arm at my house in Soldotna. Dr. Gray was able to see me via telehealth to assess my situation and provide me with options for treatment. After a very thorough discussion we opted to proceed with surgery. I was in the OR the very next day. Dr. Gray is knowledgeable and was very honest with me about what my long term prognosis might be. Dr. Gray did not rush me and answered all of mine and my husband's questions. His office staff is amazing. His office has X-ray capability so you don't have to travel to several different places to get your post-op care. While his waiting room appears full (which could make you nervous that you won't be seen on time) everyone is called back at their scheduled appointment time. Caring, friendly, knowledgable, punctual, convenient!!! Definitely recommend this office and Dr. Gray...
