I had a stroke and pulmonary embolism early one morning. I am told these guys were here in minutes. I do remember 5 of them hustling me up a steep driveway. They delivered me to a hospital in record time. The very timely, professional care I received allowed a rapid recovery. Thanks, guys.

I had the unfortunate experience of falling down my front steps five days before Christmas. I knew my right arm was broken when I tried to get up. I had to wait almost an hour before my husband heard me calling him since he was still in the bed when I went out to get the paper. He called the paramedics and they were at my house in just a few minutes. They were all so kind and caring. They wrapped me in blankets to keep me warm,stabilzed my arm to help with the pain and took me to the Brookwood Emergency Room. One of the paramedics stayed with me until the nurse came in and was given my report. I am so grateful that Vestavia Hills has such a fine Fire Department and Paramedics to help people who are in need. God Bless!
