image Had an acoustic and an electric set up here for I think $160 total. Unfortunately, I have realized that both setups ruined the tones of my guitars. Originally I thought that my electric was fixed because I could hear the low E ring better. However, I discovered that this was because he shortened the scale length. This resulted in overall terrible feel as the strings were tense and too high, resulting in DEAD tone. For some reason, turning the saddles around (even at the same scale) brought some of it back. This means that the saddles were filed wrong and unevenly. I can see a gap under the strings. Also, the low E buzzes when its open, even though I was specifically told that he raised it (.012, when it needs .020). I get bad overtones, a lack of sustain, maybe an off radius, and strings catching in the nut. On the acoustic, the low E, the saddle height has resulted in flat, dull intonation.
Its hard for me to feel angry because I know that I accepted both setups initially, but I am 100% certain that the electrics sound was ruined. If I did not have videos of the same guitar to reference and months to spend tweaking it, I would have been stuck with a dud of a $1000 guitar. The pickups sound like a micd acoustic now as compared to a metal pole. Now, I write this review knowing that James, the tech, will recognize me because I genuinely would like to rectify this. He followed the usual intonation procedure but did not realize that the instrument did not sound right. Please dont think that Im just a mistaken customer because I can easily prove this to you. I would consider removing this review if we could work something out, just reply to me with a contact.

Hi Andrew. I'm so sorry you're not happy with the repair/setups to your instruments. All you have to do is bring it back in, and I'll take care of it.
