I've worked with this company nearly 5 years. I came in as a temp worker and was hired in permanent 165 days later. Now I give this figure because during that time, I saw numerous temps that were hired in within a 30 day time frame. But this is something that I keep in the back of my mind (more for motivation than anger). I've truly enjoyed my coworkers that I've formed relationships with over the years. These relationships are the greatest asset that I've gained during my time here. What bothers me the most about this company is the complete lack of minorities in middle and upper management. When I say lack I actually mean 0. I don't believe that this is a company that seeks to promote minorities into "Decision" making positions. I'm going based on my daily observations and nothing concrete. It's solely my opinion. During my tenure with this company, there have been 3 opportunities to promote minorities but none were promoted or interviewed. That truly bothers me. Overall the company provides pretty decent benefits and vacation time. It a good place to work for a steady paycheck but I'm not sure if I would label the job as a career opportunity.
