I can only say that I was immensely glad my fiancée and I had a $50 gift card to this restaurant otherwise we would have walked out and refused payment. It took 20 minutes just to get glasses of water. Our waiter while sweet seemed overburdened and impatient. We had to repeatedly flag him down just to get refills and when asked questions he fidgeted and kept moving away as if he didn’t have or want to take the time to answer them. Our crab claw appetizer (ringing in at $14) was lukewarm and the claws were fried a little too hard. Our entrees were good, but there were some mistakes with side items. (I don’t suggest the Gouda Cheese Grits, they are rather tasteless.) I had ordered a baked sweet potato with my meal and some butter and brown sugar to go on it, I never got the butter or brown sugar and by the time the waiter came back around it was cold and pointless. We ordered a desert of Cherries Jubilee and a cup of coffee. I never did get that cup of coffee and by the time the dessert came the whipped cream and most of the ice cream had melted and parts of it were burnt. Overall, we were completely unhappy by the time we left and we will not be returning. If you are looking for a good seafood restaurant on the causeway I would suggest The Original Oyster House, Ed’s Shed, and Felix’s.
