Horrible experience. We've been looking to try this place, as we saw an article about the 10 best breakfast spots in AL. This was on the list. First of All, when you walk in, they ask you smoking or non smoking, then you're assaulted by the smell of stale cigarette smoke, old musty building, and grease. We should've just left at that point. I haven't been in a smoking establishment since the last time I was in a casino, years ago. But we didn't leave. It's breakfast, how bad could it be? I ordered eggs, hashbrowns, toast, and "sugar cured ham". My husband ordered western omelet, biscuits and gravy, and hash browns. The most edible thing on either plate was my scrambled eggs. They were actually good. That is, once I pried the salt and pepper from where they were STUCK TO THE TABLE. The hasbrowns tasted like they were scraped from the bottom of the freezer, the veggies in the omelette were sad and wilted, and the fantastic ham was a thick slice of lunch meat-dried up lunch meat. My husband said the coffee was so weak it tasted like flavored water. And the ketchup was in the nastiest bottle I've ever seen and was half water. There were flies, big flies, everywhere. And not that it matters, but the Christmas tree was still up on Feb 15. Clearly no care about the appearance of the place. This is the nastiest restaurant I've ever been in. This was our first and last trip. Save yourself the trouble and go a few more miles to Fat Cats.
