At our Pell City, AL location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D's Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D's Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D's was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

image Sat at the drive through at 7:40 called and everything no one answered and they turned the lights off and it wasn't time to close yet they will never get my business no more it just doesn't make sense if you don't want to work stay home

image Captain D is a lot better than it used to be but I just received my meal. The bread was ruined because they placed it in the box where the juice from green beans soaked it. The corn was old. It was terrible. I ordered a $4.59 dessert and was charged but never received it. I tried calling them after I returned home but no answer. Hopefully they will fix it but I don't want to drive another 40 minutes to get it tonight. The service was good though. The lady was pleasant when she took my order. The fish was very good. The loaded potato was old, and the cheese was melted on the foil but not the potato. But I could tell the potato was old and not fresh. I paid $22.09 for one meal and only ate less than half.. please do better.

image When you arrive at around 5 pm to order and they are out of shrimp, sweet and sour sauce and no 5 dollar bills so you had to pay exact price or use a credit or debit card. The young girl on the register taking orders was overwhelmed trying to explain and offer substitutions. The cook/manager had to come from the kitchen to the front and take over and help cashier. I will say they all seemed to keep their calm and did not get rude or upset with anyone ordering or picking up call in orders. A number of customers had to call to discuss substitutions because they were not told over the phone when ordering. I ate my order of fish and chicken inside. Was interesting I nothing else.

image You have 3 olympic style employees holding the fort down here in 3/11/24 @5:52 p.m. Very busy but they are doing an unbelievable job with great attitudes. You don't see this very often but someone should recognize them for their hard work and great attitudes. I might hire these guys myself. Good to see a crew like this. Dedicated, smiling with great service! (5*)
