Coastal Express Shuttle

We booked this shuttle in July 2021 for a girls trip. We arrived at the Pensacola airport and our driver was on time, communicative, and patient when there was delay getting our luggage. He was great. However, the shuttle driver on our return trip to the airport was terrible. The service rescheduled our pick up time and he was late arriving. When he did finally arrive he seemed confused. He drove from Ft. Morgan to Gulf Shores to pick up additional passengers. It was at this point we noticed his driving was erratic. He took a couple of wrong turns then eventually we realized he was falling asleep at the wheel. We asked if he was okay and he said yes. After picking up the other people we saw him closing his eyes while driving, like he was falling asleep. A pedestrian crossed the street and he did not appear to see them as he did not break or slow to allow them to cross. Finally he almost hit the vehicle in front of us at a stop sign. Everyone screamed and we asked to be let out of the vehicle as soon as possible. We found a Lyft ride to get us to the airport and contacted the company about our experience. We received a full refund for that ride, but noticed that he remained on the road. The company should have not let him back onto the road as we felt he was under the influence of something. We did not feel safe in that vehicle and felt that driver that was a danger to himself and others.

I used Coastal Express as part of a group/conference arrangement for travel between PNS and Orange Beach. My entire encounter with the company was completely positive - I was contacted to schedule my pickup, received reminders and updates via text about times and places to meet, and the drivers were not only on-time but actually a little early traveling in both directions.
