Blake showed up to look at my gutter job. He was unsure of how to outfit the house. He decided to call in Ronnie to see the house. They both came out a separate day. That's 2 days. Let's count how much time they wasted... They told me what they thought should be done, nothing was written down and I was told I would receive a call and they'd be out in 2 weeks. I never received a call. Two weeks later Blake was not answering the phone, Ronnie answered his and said they would be doing the job, "sometime in the near future." About 2 weeks after that I found a man walking around my house, he said he was the laborer who would be doing the work. He had a totally different solution to my gutter problem, that was better. He said he'd be back in 1 to 3 weeks, but that I would have to be there to unlock the house so he could plug in his tools to get power. Got a text from Blake about 3 weeks later saying "we are on the way to do your gutters today," at 10:30am. Same day notice? I have dogs I have to board, and work. I took the day off to accommodate Blake's inability to give notice. I went to board my dogs and unlock the house. I waited until 3:30pm. I called to say I was there with the house unlocked, but needed to leave to return to work. Immediately, Blake jumped down my throat with the most abusive tone of voice, "Why are you there?!?! You don't need to be there! We do good work, you don't need to see us doing it." I thought that was odd and explained that the labor who came out prior asked me to be there to unlock the house. Blake then lit up about how he was going to call that guy and chew him out for "overstepping." (I don't care, it's unprofessional to discuss this sort of mutiny in the ranks with clients. I just want the gutters fixed.) I asked Blake when he planned on fixing the gutters. He threatened to push me to the back of the schedule. I told him we should reschedule and call this a miscommunication. I explained I was happy to wait many more weeks. He promised to call me back and let me know. No returned phone call. Thursday, 6:30am (!!!! That's way too early to text a client, who does that!!!) I get a text from Blake telling me he'll let me know if they are coming on Friday to do the gutters. At 7:30am I text back and include the work I need done in the text, because I never received a write up of what they are doing. At this point I have no clue what work is being done. I hear nothing back. I cancelled their work this evening at 9:30p. Proceed with caution. Blake's erratic behavior made it impossible to do business with him.
