*STILL WAITING Despite Mike continuing to say that he will return our remaining $4,500, here we are, A YEAR LATER, and he still has not kept his word. (End of January 2023) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- *UPDATE Mike returned $1,000 to us on June 2, vowing to take out a business loan so that he could pay back our remaining $4,500 from February 2022. It's been over NINE WEEKS since that payment. If this was truly an instance of scheduling more work than he could handle, as he claims, he would've already returned our money. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- We paid them $5500 in February, with a contract for the work to be completed February 15-18. Although our home was built in the 90s and the neighborhood hasnt changed since then, they got lost coming to our house twice and arrived late. After we paid them half to get started as agreed, things went downhill. They didnt show up as scheduled and over the last TWELVE WEEKS Mike Shannon has assured us that he was coming out/sending two crews/sending three crews/be there rain or shine/be there first thing in the morning, etc. You name it, he said it and then never did it. Some of the excuses: flat tires on the trailer, broken tire at Home Depot on the trailer, stuck in Tennessee, cant get to the bank, and of course NO calls NO shows. Weve given him every opportunity to make good on our contract, going out of our way to contact him, follow up with him, notify our neighbors to plan accordingly for our fence removal, etc. Weve been polite, weve compromised, weve followed up, weve waited, weve allowed them on our property unannounced at 9 pm on Friday, April 1, and at dusk Saturday, April 10. Who comes to do fence work at night? Now, hes offered to return our money. Have we seen him? NO! He said he would return our money on Monday, May 2. Hasnt shown up, yet. Instead, hes offered more excuses and claims hes really going to return our money because hes not that guy. TWELVE WEEKS, partially missing fence that they removed April 10, and down $5500. Agreed to contract on Feb. 9th. Work was supposed to start on Feb. 14th. As of today April 28th, all they have done was deliver 335 of the 6' boards and remove one section of Fence. I have been promised more times then I can count that the work will begin and assured my job is their top priority. It obviously is not. No shows and no calls are the norm. They are also refusing to return my phone calls and text messages. They also have yet to return my deposit of $5,500.00. In regards to owners comments, more promises and excuses and still no return of deposit as of August 8th. Promised to repay on July 20th and have not heard back. Please be aware. As of August 21st. Will not return calls or texts and still has not returned deposit. Beware of this thief. As of 11-15, no attempt of returning deposit. The Courts of Limestone county have ruled against Michael Shannon and there is a judgement out against him. I will pursue collecting to the full extent of the law. As of 1-11-23, no attempt to repay. Paid $5500 deposit for a job to be done last year. Never did the job and only returned $1,000 of the money. I have sued them in small claims and am taking legal action against. Beware!!!!
