I was employed there for approximately three days. When I was offered employment, I expressed that I was still healing from foot surgery; therefore I would still be in my boot and on my knee scooter and the manager said that it was fine. Once I started work on 6 May 2019, I was on computer training for the first two days. Close to the end of the second day, I was told to end the computer training and to go into the conference room. The Customer Service Lead began talking about the company and explaining that it usually takes One day and about an hour to complete the training and that I am in a fast paced work environment. I explained that I was taking detailed notes so that I could have good notes to reference back to. She understood. After the conference room, We went to the Customer Service Lead's desk, where she showed me ONE TIME how to input a sales order. She then had me to sit at her desk and do one myself. Unnoticed to her, I was glancing at my notes, but I was trying to memorize the steps. She told me to look at my notes. I then expressed to her that I understood and that eventually I would like to memorize the steps due to me being hands on. She allowed me to finish the order. She gave me the rest of the orders to color code for the next day and I completed the color codes. On 8 May 2019, she wanted to evaluate me on how to input a sales order as I walked her through it. As I was competing the sales order, I froze for a very short moment and I asked her a question. She answered it and I proceeded. Afterwards, she said that I was good to go and gave me a stack or work orders to work that I completed with zero errors. After verifying a question about an order with her, I finish them all. She gave me a second stack that I finished with zero errors. At approximately 11:45 am the office manager comes to my desk and asks me to come to see her before I clock out for lunch. I said okay. When I approached her, she told me to go ahead and clock out. We went into her office where she asked me to sit down. She then turned to the computer and then said that that day would be my last day. I asked her why. She then stated that her Customer Service Lead said that I "wasn't catching on" and that "I wasn't getting it"(mind you that I've only been there three days and that I processed all of my orders with ZERO errors). I asked the office manager if I processed an order wrong, and she said no I didn't. She said that the Customer Service Lead told her that I rebutted against her when she allowed me to input a sales order on the second day, which was a huge lie. She then proceeded to say "You're just not a fit. We automatically know if someone is not a fit (as she chuckled)." She also stated "Off the record, If it were up to me, I would have started you after you came out of your boot, which was very discriminatory in my opinion). I expressed to her that their reason for terminating me was very unprofessional and instead of going by hear say, she should have come to me and asked instead of believing what her lead said. She said that she has a job to do and that this came down from the CEO, etc....She then told me that she would make sure that she would pay me for a full eight hours for that final day and that If I need her for anything that she will write a recommendation letter for me and that she was so sorry (Now why would she do that when she's terminating my employment.....felt guilty I suppose?) She tried to get me to sign a disciplinary form saying that I violated many rules and I declined to sign. Truth be told, I was struggling to decide which job to resign from(USPS or Medical Place so I did not resign from the post office and I'm glad I didn't!!!). She told me that she would not embarrass me by escorting me out and I appreciated that. I asked to go to the restroom and she said I could. I thanked God in prayer. Had I quit the USPS, I would have been jobless. Not only did I have my job with USPS, but I got hired on as a career employee. God is good. That's all I have to say about this one.
