Every time I call to make an appointment with my nurse she always calls me back the next day and I never actually communicate over the phone its always through voicemails. Every time I have been to the VA the staff seems to be bothered to do there JOB and engage in conversation. When you do finally communicate with someone they have a terrible attitude.

*ALERT* Simply, stay clear of this aborhently toxic environment if you have other viable options. There's 0% chance this facility can pivot towards a positive direction if the senior leadership is allowing the blatant disdain of the clerks disgusting and extremely poor attitude towards patients. I recently received a call from someone stating to be a manager of one of the clerks who caused a embarrassing emphatic attitudinal scene on November 3, 2023 in regards to my attempt to turn in a requested Health Benefits Update form and to schedule an appointment. Therefore, I'm grateful for the option of traveling to Biloxi or Pensacola. How is this fascility considered functional is bewildering! I've had the opportunity to visit multiple VA Clinics and this location is a trajesty. Takeaway: 2 cancelled appointments without notification & extremely rude check - in clerk. After speaking with fellow Veterans in the community, 4/5 (80%) have stated that the lingering unpleasant stinch of uncaring, ungiving, & incapability to provide care to Veterans is unfortunately customary.

Good lord don't ever be a traveling disabled veteran following medical advice to go in and ask for help from these people. They basically interigated me when I had a pain complaint. Once again the sheer contempt some, not all, VA staff have for veterans is evident. I believe this could be readily fixed if you offered them a better medical benefits package, as I have heard some of them complaining about how we should be thankful we are getting medical care at all. But the locals seem to get good care so thanks for that Gulf Coast VA system. PS. VA, thank you for doing the best you can to always be there for me and my family. I wish more veterans knew the cutting edge techniques you offer for physical and mental health. From Dialectal Behavioral Therapy, Tai Chi, Acupuncture, my son's birth to Emergency services you have been there for so many of us. The sheer grit it must take to be one of your counselors. Please understand that my above complaint about this location and this interaction in particular should be taken seriously.
