I went to ssv for career assistance and to work on my va disability . They were around helpful. I wish I would've came to them sooner. Julia chambers help me with making a remarkable resume and also taught me a few things on how to better my future resumes when applying for a job. She has check in with me multiple time to see how my job hunting is going. I am truly thankful for their service to veterans.

I dont know about any of the other employees but DO NOT use Moses. He didnt even seem to try to help and more or less argued with me about why I feel my 80% isnt enough. With that little bit of help he still managed to not fill out my paperwork the correct way and I had to sign it when the VA sent it back to me. What a joke.

Not the help I thought I was getting. It is just a third party who submits paperwork for you and if any issues come up they just say to hurry up and wait and that they can do nothing until the issue is already over. I wish I just filed by myself. They dont seem to help fight for the veteran they just submit paperwork and thats it. If you just want someone to submit paperwork for you then they can do that but dont expect help if there are issues that arise. I tried reaching back out to yall but the person I spoke with literally told me there was no one he knew to send me to. He then later eventually suggested I can meet with the director but Id rather not use my time for that and just use my time to resubmit my claim myself. If you do go with them do not use Moses.

We have been dealing w VA and SSV since 2019 to obtain help for my father. In 2019 the employee at the VA denied us stating my dad had too much money. This was not the case the employee was incorrectly including my parents residence. We started over again in 2020 and we have constantly been denied by the VA due to packages being incorrectly submitted by SSV. We are constantly asked for the same information over and over again. I received, as a beneficiary, insurance money when my mom passed. I put this into a joint account w my dad. We were denied because of that even though we provided the letter stating it is not my dads money. Additionally my moms retirement was continuously counted as part of my dads income after she had died. My dad will die before anything is resolved. Save yourself some frustration and hire an attorney!

Hello, we would love to reach out personally, but your anon name makes that difficult. We are sorry you feel the way you do, as we truly do fight for our clients and try to put everyone in the best position. At the end of the day, we ARE NOT the VA. We are also a non-profit. Many, many companies charge for this. We do not. We have been helping Veterans across North Alabama for 18-years. It's very rare we have someone that is upset. We obviously would like to make this right, so please feel free to reach out.

Mr. Graff, I understand your frustration. I talked to your counselor this morning and she too is extremely frustrated. She explained that your father’s claim has been denied several times by the VA and each time she has had to do a supplemental to clarify the information, this is not SSV doing it wrong, it is VA interpreting the information wrong. She agrees that the VA keeps asking for the same information which compounds the frustration. I assure you this claim is her top priority and she cares deeply about seeing it through. Unfortunately, we have no control over the VA or the claim itself once it is submitted, we are at the mercy of the system.
