Terrible service, terrible people who are not willing to work with you in any way. Wanted to bring 25-30 people in for a dinner on a "half priced" wine night but our "party was too big for half priced wine". So let me get this straight, you advertise half price bottles of wine to get people in the door, but when you get a chance to have a party of 25+ you will not honor it? Then we were told by Kim that we could not speak with the owner and then told us that bringing our own wine (with us willing to pay a $10-$15 a bottle corkage fee) is "illegal". Funny, we eat out a lot around the Huntsville area and it is not illegal anywhere else. I have never been to a city in America where it is illegal. If you are looking to take a party of 4 or more here and expect half price bottles of wine, think again. Do yourself a favor and take your party somewhere else in the Huntsville area that will honor there half off bottles of wine. That is what we did, there are several to choose from.

Brix Wine & Tapas came recommended to me. It was a Wednesday evening, so I expected more activity indoors and out; I parked directly in front of Brix. Needless to say, there wasn't too many people indoors. However, the service and food were awesome. I had the shrimp & grits which was made with polenta, tomatoes, bacon, capers and cream sauce. It was the best I've ever had. As I stated, the food was great. I was curious to where the people were and I'm still wondering. My suggestion is you better visit this place soon, because I fear they may not be open later. I'd go again...

Wonderful dining experience! Every dish excellent! Had the beet salad on mixed greens with goat cheese and strawberry balsamic vinaigrette, pan seared salmon, risotto with peas and leaks and creole beurre blanc. Loved the beet salad, flavors well balanced and distinctive, salmon and risotto cooked absolutely perfectly and paired well with the risotto. Surprised by the generous portions of all dishes. Warm, home made bread is served with oil and balsamic vinegar dipping sauce. Bread has a delicate crispy crust and is light and airy on the inside. Asked server for parmesan cheese to add to the dipping sauce and received a plate of delicately shaved parmesan slivers. Husband had the filet mignon that was also cooked as ordered and excellent! Great service to boot! If you are looking for a great fine dining experience in a casual yet elegant atmosphere, Brix offers a refreshing change from the overcrowded and rushed feeling you get from chain restaurants. Instead, Brix offers creative, well crafted dishes, great service and ambience from a local establishment.
