I requested an appointment 2/13/2023 to see my regular doctor I been seeing for years. I was told I should get a otc covid test before request was granted but got a appointment by telephone only. I went on to Ascension St.Vincent Urgent Care in Homewood instead and was seen by a practioner, no covid test was requested. I got a prescription and I was on my way. I have Ascension St. Vincent Secure Complete Medicare Plan but due to the fact that Ascension has only one Urgent Care Clinic and last year I went through the same inconvience with covid I had to American Family Care Montclair and I was tested and treated and got two prescriptions. I always thought doctors took an oath to treat the sick, but with Ascension I wonder if they have abandoned their ethics? I signed back on with United Health I had last year as of 2/13/2023 due to the fact AFC don't take Ascension Ins. Also I'm seriously considering finding another doctor. A Senior Citizen has enough issues already without having to play games in order to get help when it is needed.
