Front desk nothing to do with that. Old hotel smelling bad. Towels are old. People im not recommended this hotel.

While traveling between Chicago and Florida, I decided to stop somewhere overnight since I was getting tired and needed to do some work. I picked this place without looking at previous reviews. I didn't think it would be an issue since I stayed for less than 12 hours. Anyway, my room had some issues with it but since I was staying for a short visit I didn't feel like changing rooms and it was already 9:30 pm by the time I went into my room. My comforter had burn holes all in it, there were no tissues, no hair dryer (even though there was a holder for one), the faucet was leaky, a missing lightbulb in the bathroom, the bathroom smelled like mildew, no bar soap to wash my hands, stains all over the one chair in the room, the desk chair was missing, and the desk was arranged with the 'back' sticker facing the front. As I was leaving, I noticed the door handle was also broken to the room. Anyway, I just wanted the person at the front desk to be aware of the issues that way they could make sure those things will be fixed for the next person. All I got out was that there were some issues with the room such as burned holes in the comforter and no office chair, and she immediately started saying that there was no guarantee for there to be an office chair in the rooms with an attitude. She did not address the comforter comment, did not apologize (not that I expected one, but I would have been apologetic in her position), and was really rude. I said, look I just wanted you to be aware of the conditions of the room so that you can make sure it doesn't happen to the next person and that I'm not charged for any missing items or damages, but since you are being really defensive about this when I was just wanting to be informative that I would just post a review on here. WAY OVERPRICED FOR THE QUALITY OF THE ROOM. I've gotten way better room conditions at cheaper hotels/motels and am really disappointed I paid for a room with such terrible cleanliness and lazy upkeep. I would not recommend staying here. The only positive was that the man that checked me in was really nice, but the woman who checked me out was really rude when I was just stating the issues of the room in a matter of fact tone with no rudeness or complaint.
