We had a great experience working with Stockton Construction for our home remodel. Mike is very friendly, personable, and engaged. We had a pretty extensive home exterior and interior remodel. He did a wonderful job in transforming our newly purchased and outdated home into a coastal oasis. He also made our overall vision happen, while still keeping within our proposed budget. He is very responsive and makes things happen as timely as possible. I would definitely recommend him for your next home project. Service: Home renovations

My mom and sister and I are brand new to the area, and Mike Stockton was so friendly and we felt very comfortable with him in our house. He was always on time and completed all of our projects on time and were very happy and more than satisfied with his work. We have highly recommended him to everyone we know. Stockton Construction was given a $100k+ contract to repair my home when Hurricane Sally dropped a large tree on it. An initial impression of Mike Stockton was that he knew what he was doing. My experience was poor and I would recommend caution if considering him for anything but a small or handyman job. Fortunately I was able to visit the site daily to review and correct errors before they grew larger than they already were. My roof had a hole where a limb went through and was not repaired prior to the membrane and shingling going over it. It was brought to my attention by an HVAC inspector a year later. (Picture below) The wrong size shower doors for two bathrooms were ordered and installed with the tops extending inches above the shower units. Drywall had many, many screw pop outs upon painting. Painters cleaned their equipment with the hose next to the house which caused white paint splashes and droplets over one side of the entire house. Mike stated that the only solution was to repaint that side of the house at my expensse. No insulation was put in the attic although I paid for it and the the contract called for the coded amount. Three exterior doors were painted by a minor in about one hour. It was painted so thickly, it continues to bubble. Plumbing piping and dryer was bashed through the drywall without finishing in violation of city building code. An entire hallway was framed which allowed eight inches of access to the commode in the bathroom on the other side of the wall. A divider wall was built (for reasons unknown) next to a washer/dryer unit so closely, the appliances could not be moved for repair without damaging the "wall." A final cleaning fee of $425 was charged for nothing more than Mr. Stockton and his helper broom sweeping the floors as is done at the end of each workday if needed. He said the regular cleaners were not available. The list goes on and on. Mike Stockton claimed he came by each day to check. Unfortunately, I found his "check" was to pull to the curb and speak with his one man team helper, who often indicated he didn't have clear instructions for each day's work. Hence this customer's caution to others. Stockton Construction LLC paid for some of these items after legal action was taken. A significant dollar amount was not refunded. January 13, 2022 The response to my review was changed twice by Stockton LLC since it was written within the hour. The first was entirely untrue, emotionally charged and immature. The one at this writing is generalized and does not attack the reviewer but highly praises the Stockton Construction LLC company for their contribution to humanity during Hurricane Sally. My goal in writing this review of my personal experience was to let other folks that may need services such as the ones he offers to know the facts about the actual work the company performs. It's not fun and it takes time. The Stockton Construction LLC company clearly owes me for items that I have paid them for (worth $3,700) but have not received. I attempted through certified mail letters to work things out prior to taking court action. Mike Stockton chose instead to hire a lawyer while I represented myself. I have all documentation including receipts for items Stockton LLC is being dishonest about. This will be my last post here regarding his company's work on my $100+ job. This company is not honorable as far as my project went.
