image I would not recommend this place I have bad experience.The problem here they used cheap glasses the first time they put to me a thick glass get out of the frame so heavy and I accidentally fell over the floor and scratched I little bit one eye they have few days old also the reflection star come off not can see I went there they said after before the reading glasses was makeup I paid $50 dollars ante scratch not work they said I have to paid again also I chow the heavy glasses was for me . Also dirty all the time not came see also foggy I make again paid again I lot of money thousands off dollars for both they put light glasses after mine complained I dont know why they not doing in the first time second time mine glasses all the reflection get of I went again they said I have to paid again they glasses only have 6 months old they said next time dont put reflection.

Hi Gissele, I think you may be referencing Vision Center South. We have optional warranty policies should you damage your lenses. If you selected the warranty option, your lenses will be repaired under that paid warranty. Our staff members share all the lens options available when you place your order so the lab custom makes your order based on what you selected. We are happy to work with you to ensure your glasses function the way you would like, and the lens material best suits your lifestyle (lightweight, antiglare, scratch resistant, etc.). Our Optical Manager will contact you to see if there is anything further we can do so you can enjoy your frames and lenses.

image My daughter had to have her glasses replaced and I was told that someone would call when her replacement was ready. No one called and it's been a month. She's in school and really needed her glasses. Highly disappointed

We appreciate you choosing Vision Center South-Dothan for your frames. Update: After a closer look, we discovered the issue. The phone number you shared will not accept calls. Your frame order was placed on 1/20 and completed on 2/1/24. We have tried calling you, however the number in your chart is not working. We apologize for this unnecessary wait, but we have no way of contacting you accept through mail. Your frames have been ready for pick up since Feb. 1. We hope to see you soon!

image I have got glasses here in the past before they relocated. But it has been more than a month from the time I purchased my new glasses and I still have not gotten them. Me,my wife,and my children will be going somewhere other than here..I'm very very disappointed..Eye Center South you got to get better..highly disappointed.

Hi Joe, thank you for your feedback. I think you may be referencing the Vision Center South in Dothan on the same campus as Eye Center South. I'm happy to follow up on your glasses order. If your vision insurance dictated that your glasses had to be made at their off-site lab, sometimes there can be delays that are completely out of our control. I will have someone follow up with you today to give you an update on your order.

image Update. I just have to say Dr Sebastian Heersink is the best!! I had a follow up today and he sat there, took his time with me and explained everything and my options! It has been frustrating not being able to see clearly but is no fault of the Doctor but of my brain working against my eyes! I most certainly would recommend Dr S Heersink and the great facility they have!
I read all the wonderful comments about having cataract surgery and can see so much clearer and that is so awesome!
I had lens exchange surgery over a year ago and Dr. Sebastian did it. I just love him, he's awesome but when I had the surgery, I have one lens for near-sided and the other is far-sided. I wish I could say I could see so great but I can't!!! It's like looking through water. When I try to see in a distance then I can't make tails about anything and then when I read it's ok. So I was recommended to see an Optometrist there and I did, so I was prescribed glasses and did progressive. They do not help much! I'm to the point I just don't know what to do! I haven't seen clearly since 2016.
Another thing I would give lower stars on is how many times must you give the same personal information to your "care team" especially when you just saw them a month prior. Just ask do you have any changes or updates to your insurance or medications and be done with it. I have been there for 4 hours waiting to be seen and it's crazy to have to wait for that long when you work and your losing time and pay at your job while your sitting there and paying them to be seen!
I know this review probably don't mean much, but I just wanted to share.

image Went in to order my glasses on Jan 2 they said it would take 14-21 days to get them in because with my insurance the lenses had to be made at a different lab. After 20 days I called to check on my order and was told the lab still had them and was working on them. Called again a few days later and was told the same thing. Went in the following day because I figured something wasnt adding up. They then told me the lab hasnt even started them yet. I paid all the costs the day I ordered them and they send me a bill. I call them and they say I dont owe more money. Why the other bill. They did the same thing when my wife and daughter got their glasses. How many people are they getting more money out of by sending them additional bills. Its now Feb 3 and my glasses are still at the lab and are expecting to be sent out on Monday. Its all being blamed on the lab. I didnt do business with the lab but with Eye Center South. Will not go here again.

Hi Randy, thank you for your detailed message. Unfortunately, for outside lab jobs, we have no control over the manufacturing/delivery timeline. We can only set the expectation the Insurance Lab provides us. We can check the status of the order in our system (with any notes they provide), and we then share with you the customer. From a billing standpoint, when you place the order, we collect the amount due from the patient, after we calculate what your insurance will cover. In your case, the team member that assisted you made an error in her calculations, which is why you received an additional bill. One of our team members will be in touch with you to discuss your patient account in detail.
