Houses are nice. I love the ponds. I also love the poop. Great place to swim and I love the water slide.

The houses look great in pictures but the buying process is atrocious. After basically badgering my salesperson for weekly updates, she finally sets a date. They schedule my walk through and we made a punch-list and taped up what needed to be fixed. This was hard since there was still people fixing stuff in the house. I was told a GC would be there, they sent an intern who had no idea what they were doing. I show up for my final walk through and NOTHING had been done. Unfortunately, I was on a time crunch due to selling my house and starting a job. I closed on the house with the promise that the house would be finished and clean. I show up to move in and still, nothing had been done. There was dirt all over the floor (probably to hide the scratches on the floor that they won't fix after closing) and dirt all over the doors and walls. I spent two nights in a hotel due to this and ended up cleaning the house on my own after they ran a vacuum over the floor and left. My salesperson Kelli, quit answering my emails about when my punch list would be complete. I still have tape on my walls for spots to be fixed over a month after closing. No one has stepped foot in my house to fix anything. Do yourself a favor and add an extra month for your closing and don't close until everything is complete because they lie and will never fix any of it. They neighborhood is nice and has great curb appeal but DR Horton is absolutely terrible. Would avoid at all cost
