I saw Dr McLain for years for fibromialga and arthritis. The last couple of years each visit he would he would give me an unrequested prescription for Norco. Suddenly when the DEA started getting more strick the practionter gave me another prescription and two days later I received a letter releasing me as a patient. I lost all respect for David McLain that day. All he needed to do was tell me he was not going to to write the script anymore and I would have and would still have much more respect for him.

I was diagnosed with Ehler’s Danlos Syndrome over two decades ago and have never been under care of a physician knowledgeable regarding this condition and its many related conditions and challenges. Most doctors have never even heard of it. Meeting Dr. Mclain today was much more than a sigh of relief. I am confident that his research and care for his patients is top-notch. He and his entire staff are very professional and compassionate. I recommend him for EDS and rare related autoimmune diseases/issues. ☺️

Not as he appears. Puts people on a ton of drugs Allows them to decide what they need for themselves, changing medication like its tick taks. Then will drop them when they are hooked on those medications. I have learned my lesson, check into "drs" before you become their patient. They could kill you with the wrong medication or by hooking you on medication and then dropping you so that you can't get those medications.

Dr. McLain is very compassionate, he takes his time and listens to my symptoms, reviews lab work and is very understanding. I am newly diagnosed with lupus and have spent the last 4 years experiencing terrible flares. I am hoping that I will be in remission soon, I will try anything that he or his NP suggest. Also every staff member, I have had an encounter with, are so understanding and always very nice Anytime I’ve had to call the office and leave a message the nurse has returned messages quickly. I am very thankful to have found a provider that treats me as human and doesn’t make me feel beneath or less than. I have had a hard time coming to terms with being sick with an incurable autoimmune disorder. After being seen by Dr. McClain I am not as scared. I understand my disease process and it is scary for me but I feel safe with Dr. McClain and his NP taking care of me.

I was told by my neurologist that I need to see a rheumatologist for my fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue and chronic pain. So I googled “Rheumatologist who specializes in Fibromyalgia “ and it brought up Dr. McLain. So I called and a girl answered the phone and I think she said her name was “Ty” or something close to that. I asked her if Dr. McLain sees and treats patients with fibromyalgia and she said yes but I think you will need a referral from your doctor (which my insurance doesn’t require but my PCP would give me one). Then she said hold on and let me check and be sure if you need it. She put me on what I thought was hold and then it rang and a girl by the name of Pam answered so I asked her and she told me that he doesn’t see or treat anyone with fibromyalgia! From the sound of Pam’s voice and short answer and the reviews this is definitely not a place I need to be referred to. So, if you don’t treat patients in the description on you profile then why list it? Sounds like a quack office after all.
