Worst experience with the medical field ever. My son is on life saving medication and has been on them for years. Due to a job change we have had to switch to RxBenefits. They have denied all of my son's meds. They stopped covering one of his vital seizure medications which then caused him to have a massing seizure, 911 called, and a stay in the hospital for a few days. Our neurologist switched my son's medication to one RxBenefits said they would cover. Now they are saying they won't cover it and we risk my son having a huge seizure and potentially dying now because they want my son to be an experiment and try random medications that we don't even know will work. They would rather him have a $10,000+ a day hospital bill due to seizures than covering his medication that probably only costs them a few dollars a month. Their customer service is horrible as well.

Notice all good reviews are from employees?! Hmmm Recruiter reached out and kept having to reschedule the call. Then after stating I’d be a great fit for this database administrator and mentioning other roles, even discussing salary - he went radio silent, for weeks now. Leading people on is very cruel and extremely unprofessional. Says a lot about the company as a whole. You’re dealing with people’s lives here! I’m glad I didn’t get the job after seeing how they treat candidates.

Most complicated benefits/insurance company I have ever dealt with. I've dealth with 3 insurance companies through 3 different employers over the last 10 years. Favorite line for anyone in customer service is "We are not set up for that." Gives me the feeling that RxBenefits is not set up to effectively conduct business the way the rest of their industry is. If you have any say so in the situation, avoid RxBenefits. Our company insurance is by far the best insurance I've ever had, their achilles heel is RxBenefits.

Notice all of the 5 star reviews are from company employees... I have been on the same medication for 10+ years with no issues from my prior insurance company. After calling numerous times, spending hours on the phone, and getting a different answer from each rep, I was informed that my request was denied. Not because I didn’t have the correct diagnosis but because they are demanding I try a list of generic medications first. AKA they are too cheap to pay for my prescription. They do not care about withholding medication from you, they are just looking to save $$ wherever possible. STAY AWAY FROM RXBENEFITS.

Our company recently switched to RxBenefits as the company that "dispenses" our pharmacy benefits. Like others, notice how all the 5 star reviews are from employees, which is great, I cannot say that anytime calling customer service they were not "kind". However, I can say for sure that I have experienced what a LOT of others have, which is that I was taking a medication for 20 years, that is GENERIC, and they would not cover once the benefits implementation was switched to these folks. The first prior authorization was DENIED incredibly despite my doctor saying it "doesn't seem wise or prudent" to have to rapidly stop the medication. I am really blessed, so I could afford to pay out of pocket to fight with the company for 6 months, using coupons etc. while I got "approval" on a second prior auth. Again, I am blessed to have some medical knowledge, reasonable time, and afford to find other resources to pay. However, I KNOW FOR SURE that a lot of folks don't, and that this could have been catastrophic (I.e. couldn't get right meds - more PCP or heaven forbid ED visits which then just waste time at PCP/etc offices). This company advertises how "great a workplace" they are and they are "saving money" for companies, but all of these review are pretty clear HOW they are doing that. Putting up arbitrary guidelines that just waste your doctors time, your companies HR time, and frankly, the patient's time as well. Please, this company is TERRIBLE. I will be preaching against them to ANY HR meeting I'm in and will NEVER use this company again.
