I have been a patient since I moved to bham and the medical staff have always been amazing to work with. I have had severe migraines for decades and they have helped me manage them for years. I highly recommend Emily Rizer and the nurse practitioners at this location.

My appointment there was fine and seemingly productive. However, having called and left messages 3 times over 3 weeks (and once actually speaking with a person in reception) have not been called back to be given a basic piece of information I need. This is unacceptable, and, though I never write reviews, I felt it would be a disservice to others if I did not after my miserable experience with this office.

It is very hard to get in touch with anyone. You can't even leave a message outside of office hours because there is nothing set up to leave a message like a voicemail. You get sent to an answering service that tells you to call back during normal business hours. Every year when I need my prescriptions refilled it is like jumping through hoops. It always takes a couple of days and a few instances of phone tag to finally get someone to call it in for me. My last appointment a few weeks ago was supposed to be a virtual appointment. I waited 45 minutes on Dr. John Riser to call into my appointment FOR A VIRTUAL PHONE CALL. It would have been just as long of a wait had I gone into the office because it always is. The only reason I have stayed as long as I have is because I don't have to physically go into his office anymore and I only have an annual appointment.
