After having a lot of work done by a company who said they were licensed and insured the first thing I did when Carlos came was asked those questions. Also after having such a horrible experience with the previous company my husband and I made sure we were very thorough this time around with details about the job, cost, etc. Carlos was made aware of the commercial fridge and its dimensions I needed in order to get through the doorway. He asked several times what the dimensions were before and during working on it. Repeatedly I advised the fridge was 54-1/2 wide and that I wanted it back 55in including the 1/2 inch Sheetrock that had to be put back up after cutting the wall back. I saw he wasn't pushing one side of the doorway back to where I wanted it to be. He says it's because of the A/C duck work that he couldn't open it any further but assured me it was back far enough to achieve what our main concern was the width of the fridge. I said okay and left him to his job. The next day morning fridge arrived and behold it didn't fit! Why, because it wasn't pushed back 55 inches as I instructed and only 52-1/2 which isn't even long enough for the width of the fridge PERIOD. I contacted Carlos that morning, FaceTimed him so he could see the fridge wasn't fitting by inches and he told me he was on another job and would come out afterwards to look at it. I stayed there ALL DAY and he never showed up. I am a chef, which he knew, and not having refrigeration is a big issue with 3 events days away, which he also knew. I begged and pleaded for him to come or to send someone the next morning only to be ignored. After which, my husband managed to get another person to come and he charged us $100 to do what Carlos said he couldn't because of the duck work. All the guy did was push it back so he could cut the corner, of which I told Carlos he could do but didn't. Soon as that corner was cut the fridge went right in and the opening was what I wanted at 55in. I contacted Carlos about refunding me $100 of the dollars he charged to cover having to pay someone to do the job. He ignored me the first day and after sending a second message the second day he refused. Told me he would have charged me again if he did come. My thing is this; in addition to charging us for materials after quoting us a price, but I blew that off but truth is, he never did what we asked him to do from the beginning so he just took our money.
