I've been going to this place for 15 years. The staff is always friendly and the owner is around most of the time. I've seen some of the staff out in public and they're always nice and speak to me. I can say they don't tolerate bad behavior or people taking things for free, which happens all the time. They have a tough job and I respect them.

Sleezy business practice. Watch the pump - they advertise a cheaper price on the sign than what is at the pump. Sign said $2.39, started pumping and the pump read $2.43. At the end of the day $.56 does not break the bank but multiply that times the volume through the station - they are making a ton off false advertising on their street sign. Brought it to their attention they would not refund $.56 on principle even with my receipt. Shady practice - check the pump before you pump.

This place was disgusting. The entire small store was filthy, the bathroom was filthy. There was no toilet paper, soap or paper towels. I will not be returning for any reason.

I made the worst mistake of my life by going inside the Chevron Store by Lorna Road in hoover. Without provocation., a man who identified himself as manager of the store started verbally attacking me with derogatory comments the minute he noticed that i spoke with an accent. He then proceeded to tell me how much he hated people like me because he had a wife of the same nationsl origin. He kept on insulting me with racist remarks as i left the store, scared and shocked it is a shame that highly respected brands like chevron could allow a racist of this caliber to denigrate unsuspecting customers with impunity. My only crime was to believe that i was entering a respected establishment because it held the trustworthy brand of chevron.
