We paid this company $1,500 on 4/19/21 to install gutters on our home. The company cashed our check on 4/21/21. The owner promised over 4 times to get his workers out to our home to install the gutters. After weeks of dealing with him not showing up, we asked for a refund. The owner agreed to refund our money to us. He informed us over 3 times that he mailed us a check. As of date (6/4/21) we have not received our $1,500 back. We have contacted the Limestone County Sheriff's Office and now are aware of our rights. They informed us to take him to small claims court to recoup our money. We have now filed the paperwork with the Limestone County Courthouse. It is so incredibly sad that there are people like this that make their living stealing from others. Please be aware and do not be naive like we were. The owner of this business once again promised to refund us our $1,500 in cash by coming to our home on Friday, June 11, 2021. He informed us to "kindly remind" him on Friday that he would be coming by our home with cash in hand since he would have the time to do it on that particular day. He never showed up (which is typical of his pattern of behavior that we have experienced.) We reached out to him again on Monday, June 14, 2021 and asked why he never came by to refund our money. The owner responded via text message "as promised when I come that way when we get done sir is our agreement I'll come by on way in. Still up here." According to the Limestone County Court Office, the owner of this business was served our paperwork on Sunday, June 13, 2021 by the sheriff's department. We will wait for our assigned court date in order to recoup our $1,500 To this day, I assume Mr. Haygood is still working in Columbia, TN since his last text stated "Still up here". The judge ruled in our favor. Mr. Haygood was to repay us the money he stole and has yet to do this. I have contacted the LCSO and unfortunately, there is nothing they can do since this is a civil matter. Out of kindness, they did contact Mr. Haygood to ask why he won't pay us our money back he stole. He told the Captain he would bring the money by the courthouse, but per his behavior habits, that did not happen as well. We are unfortunately out of options to recoup our money. It seems Mr. Haygood may have known that he wouldn't be forced to give us our money back. It is unfortunate that people chose to be dishonest in this world instead of setting examples and doing the right thing. Please please do not use this company. Check all reviews. Check BBB especially. We failed to do that in the beginning. If you have the NextDoor app, search this companies name and you will find similar results. This is typical of this company.
