Aweome people. We were eating lunch at an establishment that needed septic work done. Unfortunately, it smelled bad so they bought us a gift card as an apology for the smell. It was not necessary, but definitely made our day!

I bought my house three years ago with an understanding from the MLS listing, my realtor, and the home inspector that the house was connected to the Jefferson county sewer system. Three years later after exhausting every resource I had available I learned the truth. The house was to have been connected to the new Jefferson County sewer system but as part of the fall out of the entire Jefferson County sewer system debacle it never never actually connected. The truth was that I have a septic tank. But no clue in any document or in any public record of where that tank was located. American septic tank was not an easy company to locate. They dont have a pay per click ad program and almost, save for 1 other, Google reviews which puts them low on the organic listing totem pole within Googles search engine. But in the end, my search to find the right company, with the right equipment, great knowledge, equipment, people with the right skills, personal values, and integrity paid off. Brian and his assistant Robert located the septic tank within the first 50 minutes of being on site. Something Two inspectors from the Jefferson County environmental services department, my plumber of 26+ years had been on unable to successfully do. They were then able to uncover the top of the tank which was more than 6 feet below the earths surface using a small, very precise, commercial grade piece of equipment which Brian was able to drive and manipulate in the most sensitive and professional manner. This work not only included uncovering of the 6 foot buried Septic tank but working along with the buried natural gas line which they had had detected by an inspector in advance. If that was not enough of a challenge there was also a expensive fence panel, poured concrete sidewalk, and poured concrete driveway on three sides of that tiny area where the tank was buried. What they learned was that the county records were absolutely correct that that 1000 gallon septic tank had never been cleaned -ever- since 1979. American septic took care of that problem in no time working spotlessly and on a very steep driveway off old Leeds Road in Mountain brook. I report the location only for those who understand the difficulty of the terrain these guys faced working with. I now have a completely empty septic tank, a new access door about 4 inches below the surface of my garden which makes it completely invisible, And garden plantable and it was done for a fraction of what I thought might be involved and I couldnt be happier with the results. I congratulate this company, the individuals involved with my project, myself for taking the time to find the right talent. Im so grateful to American septic for taking what for months have been hanging over my shoulder as a complete unknown and having it completely resolved/fixed and problem resolved within a five hour period. Thanks to everyone at American septic tank for being people of their word, fair, honest, and may God bless you all. Well its roughly 2 years later and weve got two more people living in the house and weve got COVID-19 quarantine going on so people are in the house for longer periods of time and we started to notice that gray water was backing up into the lowest plumbing exit points within our house. First sludge in the washing machine in the garage then backing up into the mop sink -both situated at the lowest point of our plumbing system. Then into the shower located in our apartment rental and finally when it backed up into The basement apartment toilet -OK somethings really wrong. A lot of people wouldve figured out earlier but it wasnt happening like every week but it was every couple of weeks and then we started talking and we do realize that it was only happening when several different points of water were entering into the system such as the bathtub water, showers laundry running toilets flushing. Call these folks! Brian Ronald Mike Chrissy They need to plan and then executed flawlessly. Cant think these folks enough. Our system is running better than ever!
